When we first got the Harry Potter DVD, we hunted high & low for the “not seen in theaters” scenes. Could not find them anywhere and we were absolutely frustrated. Somewhat annoying, and I have no idea what they were thinking whtn they hid them. Thank goodness they came to their senses and wrote an article for the Harry Potter Daily Prophet – Jun 1, 2002, “How to find Harry Potter Scenes Not Shown in Theaters.” Now I just have to print the instructions so we can try to view them again.

This Little Piggie Went to Market…
So many “Polish It!” pictures! Yeah! Some from Cis, Robyn, Kristine, and Jennifer has hers coming soon. It’s summer! Join in!
And yes, VASpider, previously painted toesies count too! Mikey, being a guy is no excuse. Come on, Todd has a rack browser picture! You can paint your toenails! And Trey – sorry. My toes are clean and manicured thanks to that kick-ass pedicure mentioned below, but they just need that burst of color in the summer time! Everyone’s do, so “Polish It!” On that note – here’s mine! In front of the computer in the public computer room at the resort, just an hour or so after my pedicure…
The latest Blogwhore challenge? To start a meme. So come on everyone. Reach up, put your hands in the air, wiggle your fingers, stretch, and let’s go!
In honor of my recent travels, I’d like for you to polish it. Your toes, that is. Paint your toes up all pretty, take a picture & post it! I’ll post mine tomorrow night when I get back to Houston – I can’t do it from here. Post your polish pics and link to me! “Polish It!” Please? Pretty please? Thank you! I just want to prove once and for all that I am your blogwhore…
Flew in to Phoenix this morning around 10am PST and picked up the rental car. Let’s start clearing up a few myths. “It’s a dry heat.” Dry heat or not, 105 degrees is still freakin’ HOT. HOT. HOT, HOT, HOT. Sure, you’re not melting quite as fast because “it’s a dry heat”, but when the temperature reader inside the PT Cruiser says that it’s 108 outside, it’s no better then when it’s 95 outside in Houston. Ok, glad we got that one out of the way. Now, can someone tell me one other thing? Where the heck is the GRASS? There is NO grass here. Well, on the golf courses that we have passed. Otherwise – no grass. Nowhere. Not a single blade I think along the entire stretch of I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson. Bizarre. As Krista said, it’s not the State of Arizona – it’s the State of Depression. I felt like I was on a movie set or something, it was just that surreal.
So we made the drive to Tucson, and I think I’ve decided that the city itself looks a lot prettier then what we saw of Phoenix. Maybe it was just that after 4 hours in the state by that point in time I’m getting used to it. Made the drive through the city to our final destination (by the way, if you’re curious just send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to tell you all about it, I just don’t want to link and drive traffic to their site and show up in their stats.) Had a good, productive, long meeting with our client. (Since that is really the purpose of our trip, after all.) Then it was off to the pedicure. YUM. It was great – truly a treat and something I wouldn’t have ever paid for at home. And in Robyn’s honor, I picked OPI’s “Chick Flick Cherry” red for the polish. I took photos of the end result, but I didn’t grab the camera out of the car before the massage so no photos of that. I’ll have to tell you all about it tomorrow.
For now, it’s off to the amazing suite that we are staying in – a little bungelow basically with a full size washer & dryer, a kitchen, a huge bathroom, and a nice living room – in addition to the bedroom. It’s awesome! Having a great time … wish you were here!
Postcards…
Have a friend that is an indentured cubite? Why not send them a Postcard from Prison? Only you can make their day better – otherwise it will simply be another day in hell. [via Billegible]
