I Have Podcasted…

I Say A Little Prayer For You...

It is official. I’ve made a Test of the Emergency Podcast System and it was good. The first full podcast will be recorded TONIGHT, and will be available for download as soon as it is prepped and ready! (Tonight, or tomorrow at the latest.)

Wheeee!

On the knitting front, I have made it almost to the toe of my first Jaywalker sock. It has been a pretty easy knit lately, I just haven’t taken the time to work on it between the tests I have coming up and the podcasting work I’ve been doing. I still want to get the second sock done by the KAL prize deadline, but I’m not sure if I’ll make it. Oh well – at least I have a really cute sock, and I haven’t had any more issues with it like I did last week!

PS – The above photo made
#19 in Interestingness on Flickr for February 6, 2006. How cool is that! Thank you everyone!

I’m Only Watching for the Commercials…

Parisian HoneymoonThe TiVo is humming along, recording the Superbowl for me. I’ve been cranking out Trigonometry problems for awhile now – is it sad if I admit that they are somewhat fun? Of course, I’m only in chapter 2, so maybe I’ll feel differently as the semester goes on. I need to stop studying math and focus for a bit on Biology instead. I have to memorize a zillion things about Kingdom Bacteria, Kingdom Protista and Kingdom Fungi. Inane things like how bacteria reproduces. Ugh. I would rather stick a spork in my eye, but I want to keep up the 4.0 track record, so I’ll study. But I won’t like it.

Chemistry and Trig rock. (As does Photography, obviously.) But Biology? Blech. I’m glad Pharmacy is much more about Chemistry and math. The things that make sense to me.

After another Biology review, I’m going to watch some of the Superbowl. I’ll admit, I just watch it for the commercials. I had to ask someone on Friday who was even playing in it this year. Yeah, I don’t do football normally. I’ll work on my knitting projects inbetween the commercial breaks.

I’m wrapping up my “script” for the podcast, and I might get to record it tonight. Then Mike can help me with the techno end of getting it online. Yeah! Oh, it is going to be such fun!

Kicking off the Knitting Olympics…

Shopping along the Seine

My local favorite yarn shop, Twisted Yarns, is having a “Knitting Olympics” kick-off at 2:00 next Friday. How cool is that? I’m so amused.

I’ve got my needles. I’ve got my yarn. I’ve got the pattern. Katy and I are going together. I need to coordinate having lunch with Sara. I’m all set!

Sort of Like The Iron Chef, but Better!

Summer in Paris
Honeymoon in Paris, June, 2004.

Mike won the TeaChef competition for January! His Lapsang Souchong-Smoked Stuffed Cornish Game Hen will be featured on their site for the month of February. I’m so proud of him! He really put a lot of thought and effort into his recipe, and it turned out so well.

If you want to experiment with being a Tea Chef yourself and possibly be the monthly winner, go to their site by the 10th of the month, sign up for a tea sample, and then create a recipe to go with it. A word of warning though – I’m sure Mike plans on doing it again, so you will be up against the best!

The Tea Chef! Featured at Chez Tremoulet. I’m so proud! Thank you to everyone that voted – we owe you dinner! Just let me know if you want to take us up on it.

Pointy Sticks!

Pointy Sticks is alive! I’m working out the last of the kinks and hope to have the first PodCast post up there within the next 24 hours. Wheeee!

(Ironic, that I spent an hour or so working on that instead of knitting. No wonder my Jaywalker socks aren’t done!)
