Scene: The living room. Me on the laptop, Mike in the chair across the room, arms over his head, eyes shut.
Me: (I hear faint snoring-like noises.) Mike? Are you sleeping?
Mike: No, I’m awake.
A few minutes pass. Snoring sounds increase.
Me: Mike. You are snoring.
Mike: Yes, and I’m still working out barbecued meats in my head.
Me: What? Ok, so you’re asleep, snoring, and yet you’re trying to claim to be just thinking about meat?
Mike: Yes. I may have been snoring, but that was what I was thinking about.
Me: I am so blogging this.
See? This is what happens when you read cookbooks like they are novels, especially right before you go to sleep. I still can’t believe he tried to claim to not be sleeping, while clearly snoring. Right…
I am curious – for those of you out there reading this site via bloglines or the feed reader of your choice (mine is NewsGatorOnline) – does it bother you that I added the photos to my feed? Does it slow the feed reader down, slowing you down, causing you to just skip reading altogether?
I’m just trying to figure out what works best for the end user. While I primarily gear the site towards my needs and interests – I mean, it is a personal site after all – I like to make sure it is working for you.
I would be nothing without you. You? You mean thw world to me.
Now, be nice, stop blurking and leave a comment. *grin*
Katie, aka BeingKatie, had her baby! Henry was born on yesterday (4/5/06), so he shares his birthday with Mike! I must say, he is quite adorable.
Congratulations to Katie & Chris! I can’t wait to meet Henry! Let me know when you want those family portraits taken!

When I was recording the most recent podcast yesterday, I made the most brilliant statement…
“I have several friends that are about to have newborn babies.”
Because, you know, sometimes people give birth to older babies. Or toddlers. Or teenagers.
This is why my first few podcasts were done with a well written “script” in front of me, and not off the cuff like the last two have been.
