A Discovery…

My holiday film exchange photos are online! I sent a roll off to tyd and got a huge Christmas treat when I saw the results! I’ll be posting a gallery of tyd’s photos this weekend – something for you to look forward to!

A Bit Neurotic, Are We?

As I read through Robyn’s “Top 25 in 2002” list, I was reminded of her whole food neuroses thing, and I just had to giggle about one of my own.

I can’t stand it when the margarine, butter, soft cream cheese, whatever is uneven. When I scooped out margarine to put it on my sandwich earlier before putting it in the sandwich maker machine, I had to do this swirl thing that must be done to keep it level. It has to be level. Absolutely no big scoops of margarine out of my container – and if you do it, I’ll sit there and make it smooth and level again. Can’t stand it any other way.

So, what sort of neurotic food issues do you have? Come on, you can share. It’s ok – I don’t bite. Well, only if you say please… So talk to me!

Cheesy Goodness…

I decided it was time to break in the sandwich maker that Kymberlie gave me for Christmas, so I picked up some cheese, ham & bread for grilled cheese sandwiches when I was at the store earlier. Yummmm… cheesy goodness! They were soooo good!

By the way – she picked that off of my wishlist. If you ever want to find out if a blogger has a wishlist and you want to look their info up in one central location, you should check out I Wish, You Wish! I promise, it will make your life easier!

Mmmmm… grilled ham & cheese. YUM!

Temp Assignment v1.4

Today was day two of what had to have been one of the most boring temp assignments ever. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to be paid to do nothing. And I actually finished my Holiday cards. Yes, I mailed some more out today. The day after Christmas. But you know, being Holiday cards, and this is still the 12 days of Christmas and all… I refuse to think of them as late. Anyways, on Monday I maybe answered the phone 15 times. Today? I answered the phone 3 times. THREE times. So while it’s really cool to get paid for this, it’s depressing at the same time. I have talents that are just going to waste here, people! Oh well, at least I got half way through one of Kymberlie’s books. I had been warned before I went in on Monday that it would be incredibly quiet and that I could read or do whatever I wanted to while I was there.

So here I am off at work, and what do you guys do? You leave about 20 snowballs in my comments! Well, it’s about d@mn time! (Oh. Bad pun.) Now I’ll have to start going around and tossing them at everyone else!

Ho-Ho-Holidays…

I’ve taken a ton of photos lately, but I don’t have time to post them all. Heck – I’ve got gifts to wrap, clothes to dry, and I need to do a ton of other things! But these were too good not to share. (Pop-up windows for photo links and thumbnails!)

You see, Saturday night after decorating the tree (that’s one of my favorite ornaments) and eating dinner, Mike & I took Jason and went to the subdivision nearby to check out the lights before we opened Christmas gifts. It’s mandatory that every house there decorates, and every street has a theme. Some are just pretty – but some are WAY overboard! So what do I do? Stop traffic just so I can take photos for you!

The stars house has a margarita glass outside. How appropriate is that? *wink* Then there was the huge Statue of Liberty. That was simply breathtaking. The other patriotic house was quite pretty. But my favorite? Bob the Builder! Check out those huge figurines in the front yard!

I thought you would enjoy. A special holiday treat for you. If you had been here, we would have been drinking margaritas as we cruised the subdivision, simply cracking up. You would have loved it. Hope you & your family have a wonderful holiday. May Santa make all of your dreams come true!
