Germany Update!

This is a speeeeeeedy update – it cost 2 Euros (about $3) for 15 minutes of internet time. Just long enough to write a FAST post, post photos, and run!

Koln (Cologne), Germany:

Bacharach, Germany (Rhine river valley), where we are staying for 2 nights in the castle overlooking the town:

Burg Eltz (near Mosel river valley):

More to come soon, when the internet doesn’t cost so much!

Hallooo, ova der.
You’re in my old stomping grounds. Hope you go to visit Burg Elz. If you get to Limburg, there’s an awesome yarn shop roght downtown in the old city…well there are cool yarn shops everywhere really. I’m planning my trip for next year. Hope your having a great time.
Prost!

Great pictures! I just love the Koelner Dom. Did you know the towers have a 5cm height difference? If you’re looking for cheaper internet places, I found it useful to get off the tourist track a bit and then look for a place run by turks and full of turks. They seem to like their cheap internet.

Glad to see you’re having a great time!

I still don’t know why you left Houston. Why I saw some similar castles at a putt putt golf course.

(please take me with you next time. the picts are spectacular.)

The first picture: I knew those towers looked familiar! I went to Coln Germany in high school, and we visited that cathedral. We hiked it up to the top of one of the towers too; man was that a trek!

Hey Christine! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Are you going to be a guest on the podcast tomorrow? We’re starting the recording at about 10 and it’ll probably go into the afternoon. Give me a ring, okay? You’ve got my cellphone number. 😉

Sheesh, what can we say? Those pictures are amazing, can’t wait to see what else you captured. Looks like you’re having a wonderful time, thanks for sharing with us!

looooved Eltz. makes me want to go back. makes the little conscience-voice say, “write your host sister… wriiiiite your host sister…”
