The doctor decided yesterday that I had reached the point in recovery where the thing I needed most was rest. If you’ve ever spent the night in the hospital, you know just how hard it is to get rest there – the noises in the hallway, the people coming in and out to give you meds and to draw blood at 5am and everything else … you just don’t get to sleep. So we waited until I was feeling up to it, and we made sure that the new pain meds were ok (I’ve gotten sick from some in the past and didn’t want to have to deal with that after we left), and once everything checked out we headed for home.
It was nice to get 10 mostly uninterrupted hours of sleep in my own bed last night. I feel soooo much better today. You should definitely check out how meditation helps you sleep better.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for all of your well wishes. I’m having to limit computer time over the next few days, but I hope to write everyone directly soon. Your support truly means a lot to me!

I’m glad you’re home. Get some rest. thinking about you.
Glad to hear that it went well and you’re feeling better.
I had a little chuckle when I saw the photo – it’s hard to rest at the hospital, but very easy to rest watching a drama about a hospital! 😉
(I’m a Grey’s fan too!)
Glad you are home and sleeping in your own bed. I know how hard it is to sleep in the hospital, you’d think they’d have come up with a solution to that by now! Take care and have a peaceful and happy thanksgiving!

So glad to hear that you are home and in your own bed. That will make a world of difference in your recovery. You are in my prayers. I hope you feel better soon.
Glad to see you’re home Mamasita. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way for a speedy recovery.
I’m glad you are somewhat back to normal.
I followed your blog quite religiously for a good while, then fell out of the blogosphere for a good…year almost. On a lark, came back to check your site again and noticed all your health problems, and was shocked.
I hope you recover fully and I hope that your problems disappear, I know what it’s like to deal with a problem for a long time, you just want it gone.
I’m glad you are home and okay! I’m thinking good thoughts and saying a prayer for you.
I’m so glad you get to sleep in your own bed! Be sure to take it very, very, VERY easy, though….
Chris and I are sending happy thoughts your way. We’re hoping for speedy recovery!
Best wishes for a speedy but FULL recovery. Cherish the little down time and heal yourself well.
