Loving Myself & Losing Weight…

I resolved at the beginning of the year to work hard on losing weight. (Sound familiar? Yeah, I’ve said it every year for 6 years. *sigh*) I’ve already ramped up my water consumption a LOT and within the first 6 weeks of the year I’ve lost 6 pounds. Yay! But then, the plateau arrived.

Today is Valentine’s Day. And as much as I love my husband, my family & my friends, today? I’m going to focus on LOVING MYSELF. Because really, what better way is there to show them that I love them? Taking care of myself seems to be the best thing I can possibly do, so I decided I’m going to start exercising and eating more healthy.

It is scary to put it out there, but I am. My goal is to continue to lose 1 lb a week or just over 4lb a month. (And not lose & regain & lose it again – which is what I feel like I’ve been doing for the past year. Ugh!) I’m giving myself until next Valentine’s Day. I looked into some supplements like Forskolin, and have researched where to buy forskolin extract, and ordered some. I’m serious about this. Yes, for those of you playing along at home, that means I want to lose 52 pounds. I could *really* use your encouragement to make it happen!

In addition to the Robotic Spine Surgery, decompression may be performed to address other types of pathologies, such as infection or tumors.

I’m going to set a goal for each week, and then continue to build upon those goals. Goal for week #1 – drinking 100oz of water a day.

My biggest motivation behind losing weight is for my health. I think every woman is beautiful, just as we are — but I think it is important we take care of ourselves, that’s why I use the best neck products just for protection. Who wants to join me?!? Leave me a comment – lets cheer each other on!

Good luck Christine! My doctor told me that it takes a long time to put it on so if you want to do it right it takes a long time to take off too. I think you are going about it the right way.

YAY!!! Go Christine Go! I’m doing the same. It seems I used to lose weight earlier… but I’ve hit the very stereotypical mid-30s and it’s not budging very quickly.

2 things that have been helping: http://www.sparkpeople.com (great website for being healthy – and it’s FREE – love the story behind how this biz began) and exercise. UGH – I’ve always loathed exercising… but I know it’s critical to weight loss – especially because I have lost lots of muscle and that muscle helps the metabolism (which is probably why it’s taking so much longer to lose weight than 10 yrs ago).

Like you – I’ve given myself one small goal – instead of going nuts and burning out fast. (Sparkpeople talks a lot about making reasonable changes based on what is realistic for us. His book “The Spark” is pretty good to.)

Good luck! I’m cheering you on!

Congratulations on your determination!!!
I just recommend you not to rely only on your one pound a week goal. because if you get some more muscles you would weight the same or maybe even a little more but your body would burn the fat at higher rate. This tends to discourage people because it’s easy to think you are gaining weight but on the contrary, if you keep that rate, you will lose lots of inches on the waist =D

Here is to a year of loving yourself! We love and take care of the people dear to us. I’m pretty sure that they love and care for you too, and they want you to succeed in the goals you set for yourself. You can do it Christine! Do it well, and you’ll have more years of love in your life!

you can do it. just think to yourself that the tiny satisfaction you might get in eating whatever unhealthy food you crave youll get a bigger much nicer satisfaction knowing you lost weight and look good πŸ™‚
