Just to prove that I am not totally clueless, I had to add a post to counter my post from earlier today. I am not completely Star Wars clueless. (HAN. Ok, I get it. HAN. Without the “s” at the end.) Mike left a trivia tidbit in my earlier comments that, “Darth Vader is played by David Prowse and voiced by “This is CNN” James Earl Jones.” However, what he did not know (but knows now) is that David Prowse originally spoke all of the lines for Darth Vader and had no idea that James Earl Jones would be voicing over all of them. I heard that he was quite put out when he discovered that his lines were not used at all.
I also knew that Carrie Fisher (aka “Bun Head”) played Princess Leia. And if Mike ties me to the bed and forces me to watch the first three Star Wars films (4-6) for a week, I might just have to gouge my eyes out with a spork. There, I said it. I just don’t think I could handle it. I will admit that I should probably watch them again since it’s been many years – a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

It took a winter blizzard to get my wife to watch the Holy Trilogy with me back in 96. I seriously doubt that would occur in your neck of the woods, huh?
No, probably not any time soon. But like I said, I guess I should give them a chance. Someday.
Gosh, that was a long time ago. I remember being given special tickets to go see at a surround theater of some kind in L.A.

The amount of geek-disk-measuring (as it were) in comments on the last entry is quite amusing. Mikey better stop trying to one-up me, though, because he’s mistaking polite reticence for lack of alpha geekiness, and that would be a serious mistake. đ
