I joined the ring! I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep up the 5, but it’s worth a shot! I’ve got about 30 more pounds to go!

No problem at all – I tweaked it myself. As long as you have the “prev” and “next” links, plus the list link, it’s all good. (Hmmmm… can I tell Ringsurf to give out a different code? I’m a ringsurf newbie!)
This is a great idea! I fall into the bad habit of creating too extreme goals for myself, but this seems like a great and reasonable plan.
I do the same thing. Saying I want to lose 40-50 pounds just seems like a huge challenge. Saying that I want to lose 5 pounds this month? Not so bad.
Wow – I think it’s really cool you’re brave enough to blog about trying to lose weight… it’s such a sensitive topic. I see from you smaller blog that you’re doing weight watchers (the points). That’s what I’m doing as well becuase it’s the only diet that has worked for me in the past and that gives you a healthy balance of foods. I just may follow your lead and track my progress online as well as – who knows – maybe it’ll motivate me more.

Hi Christine, I signed up on January 5th for this ring and am still in the Queue. I noticed while looking at the list that as late as January 14th, people have been approved. Is there a certain criteria my site is supposed to meet in order to be a part of this group or a reason why I’m not getting approved? I’ll remove the code from my site if need be.
