Ugh…

While I had an absolutely fantastic time at the Sting concert on Saturday night with Kymberlie, the lawn seats that we had seem to have triggered some horrible allergy attack – or else those hives last week really were and indication of an infection after all. I would be blaming it on the grass if it wasn’t for the fact that Mike couldn’t stop sneezing tonight, because he wasn’t at the show with us.

Ugh.

I can’t breathe at all out of the left side of my nose. Both of my sinuses feel like they are going to explode. I want to move my eyeballs forward a little bit to stop the sinus pressure. The pain! The pain!

On top of all of it, the Claritin I’ve been taking seems to have me wired. Wide awake, but really out of it. Adding Sudafed to the mix has only kicked it up a notch. I’m only on my way to bed right now because I keep hoping that if I can make myself sleep I can escape some of the nasal fun.

Can someone make it stop? Please?

Ugh.

Jason went camping this weekend with the Boy Scouts, and I was looking forward to some down time. Get together with the Friday Gaggle of Friends, take my bike for a nice long ride today (just 5 months until the MS 150!) and maybe even head in to downtown to take some pictures.

Instead I woke up yesterday with an incredibly sore throat, and today the sore throat is gone but I can’t breath and my ears are all crackly every time I swallow. Thankfully, Mike was kind enough to go to the store for me to get me some medicine, and some down time seems to be helping – but damn it! I had things I wanted to do this weekend! Being sick sucks, you know?

Oh, and if you’re waiting on me for access to the post below – soon, I promise. I had friends to take care of last night and it was much more important then being online.

Ugh. I think it’s time to go back to bed…

We have been passing that around here. We have four lucky people in our family that had it to some degree. I don’t know if this will help you or not, but I drank tons of Brisk lemonade! Something in it just helped my throat. I have been taking the nighttime tylenol flu pills too. It’s over with me. Hubby is the lucky one now. 😉

Feel better soon girlie! *hugs*

Ugh.

Jason has had problems paying attention at school this year, especially in his afternoon classes. It’s really been an issue, more than ever before. Then, Saturday, while we were working on his Aztec village he was constantly thirsty – and I have noticed this before, that sometimes he drinks a lot of fluids. Today my mom & her friend decided to check his blood sugar. He had not eaten since lunch, 3 hours earlier … and it was 297. TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY-SEVEN. Whoa. Not a good thing. The ranges are supposed to be: Fasting: 105 mg/dl – 80 mg/dl, 1 hour after a meal: 190 mg/dl – 120 mg/dl, 2 hours after a meal: 165 mg/dl – 105 mg/dl, 3 hours after a meal: 145 mg/dl – 90mg/dl. Ugh. We have an appointment with the pediatrician at 9:30am. I hope & pray he isn’t diabetic (Insulin-dependent diabetes develops most often in children) but considering all of the signs seem to point in that direction I am scared that he is… Ugh. Also, Type 1 (juvenille) doesn’t seem to be a hereditary issue as much as Type 2 (adult onset), although I didn’t know that until tonight. We have a lot of diabetics in my family, including my dad, and I am hypoglycemic at times, so I know too many stats on it all. I was gestational diabetic and for the first month I controlled with diet, but ended up on insulin the last 6 weeks, although just a tiny dose.

Oops, meant to add a big THANK YOU to everyone for their support. Ilopan, I will check that out – if not for Jason then for me because I have to watch myself too, too many diabetics in my family. And Catherine, I was so preoccupied I didn’t check my voice mail tonight, but I am going to right now! I will keep you all posted, don’t worry… and I appreciate your support.
