It’s OK to Crochet…

I know that Christina and others have wondered time and time again…

“Where is the love for those who crochet?”

Well, good news. The author of the Stitch ‘n Bitch books posted to the SnB Yahoo! list that I’m on, and guess what? Her next project is on CROCHET! She’s even looking for submissions. I saved the e-mail – let me know if you want the scoop.

That’s a Lot of Circles…

I know that Liz said that making the Booga Bag was addictive – mine has been calling out for me all day, but I’ve had too many other things to do – but I dream now of having my bag in the Kureyon Bag Gallery! Booga Bags rock!

Booga Bag Photo Time!

I took pictures! This is the start of the sides of the Booga Bag and the base of the Booga Bag! I started it last night at the knitting circle; today I learned how to pick up stitches along the sides and now I’m knitting in the round. I’ve done 5 rows already; just 59 more to go! Whoo hoo!

Share the Love…

My knitting obsession hasn’t gone to this point. Yet. It would probably be a good addition to SimplyTwisted.org once I get it set up…

I sure hope that is a soft yarn…

Overheard…

While at the coffee shop after my knitting circle gathering tonight (Yes, addicted. I know.), I overheard the following:

Scene: Couple sitting in the corner chatting, having recently met thanks to online personal ads. This might have actually been their first meeting.

Her: I would suggest that you clean up all the typos in your ad though. That is an instant turnoff for me. Really bugs me. I used to be a secretary.
Him: Well, hopefully I won’t need to use the ad for much longer.

… uhm, dude? She just told you to fix your ad. Obviously, she is not swept off her feet by you and begging you to take it down. The fact that she’s talking about all of her ex’s? Big hint. You probably should just go get in the car and leave. Be sure to fix the typos when you get home, ok?

Before they leave:
Him, in total cheese voice: You can be my secretary any time.
Her: (Sound of crickets chirping.)

I almost threw up in my knitting bag.
