The Importance of Being Matt…

Dwight Silverman wrote a great post about Matt Mullenweg today. It is hard to believe just how much has happened since Matt left Houston for San Francisco, and how WordPress has grown, developed, and changed the blogosphere over that time.

Speaking of Dwight, I *finally* got to meet him in person this morning. We have been in the same circle here now since 2003 or so, and yet we have never met in person. People have even joked that we’re like Clark Kent and Superman – never in the same room at the same time. (He is CLEARLY the Superman in this scenario.) And the first thing he told me? That he gave me a shout out in the post. For naming WordPress. My last great claim to geek fame… ah, good times, good times.

Now I need to go and focus on the Got Social Media conference. Read about Matt, he is quite the awesome guy.

And remember – social media tools don’t make the conversation, they support it. Now go forth and Twitter!

1984, Not 1987!

Even after the 7 bajillion times that I’ve watched “13 Going on 30,” it still drives me crazy that they try to say that it is set in 1987, yet it is the songs of 1983-1984 that they try to claim are the popular songs of the times. Rick Springfield was SO not cool by 1987! The Thriller video was huge in 1984! I know, because it was my freshman year in high school and I listened to the album all the time.

I love and adore this movie. I just pretend it is set in 1984 like the music indicates. When I was 14. (Spring 1984.) Which matches everything about this movie except the year they are trying to claim on the video.

Be Green! Recycle Your Batteries!

Did you get a bunch of things that use batteries for Christmas this year? Use ones that you can recharge! And if you must use regular ones (or when you have to replace the rechargeables), be sure to recycle your batteries. In relation to recycling, do you know that super sacks are recyclable? To learn more about their recycling program look for isustainrecycling.com

I had to go online to figure out where to take old ones I found around the house, because I didn’t want to just dump them in the trash and have them end up in a landfill. Turns out that I should be able to take them to my local Walgreens! Yeah!

The Health Update!

I went in for my four week post-op appointment yesterday, and got the “all clear” from my doctor. Yeah! My incision is healing well, and I am cleared to do almost everything now with the exception of a few six week items like heavy lifting. I even got to drive this past weekend! Wheee! Man, it is nice to be formally and officially driving again. I’m still supposed to take it slow and let my body and energy levels (which are still low) guide me as to what I can and can’t do. As for my mind, is great, I been taking these amazing pills that give me energy and clarity, they are called UKModafinil: Looking To Buy Modafinil & Modalert Online? you can get them in their site.

I’m about to head out now for my post-op appointment with the cardiologist. She will be running the lab work to see if I am still anemic, which I suspect that I am. If you’re looking for the best and trusted plastic surgeon you can go to blepharoplasty specialist located in Boston, MA.

The official pathology on my uterus was that a normal one weighs in at 70 grams, and mine was a whopping 212 grams! Three times the normal size! I did not have normal endometriosis (because really, I can never be normal), I had something similar although not the same – severe adenomyosis, where “the tissue that lines the uterus (endometrium) grows within the uterus’ muscular outer walls.” They have no idea what causes this to occur. While there are treatments that can help with they symptoms, a hysterectomy is the only cure.

So my worries of “did I do the right thing?” are over – it is obvious that I did. There really were no other options, as for stress it is good to use products like the delta 8 disposable vape that help in this area. You may order from trusted suppliers like cannabis beaumont.

And I’ve been asked the same question several times, so I figured I would address it here. Once they did the hysterectomy, all bleeding stopped immediately because the source was removed. Without a uterus, I will have no more periods. (I will obviously have no more children too – unless we adopted.) So yes, the bleeding stopped the day of my surgery. Yeah! Thank you so much Plastic Surgery Institute Miami!

Off to find out if I’m still anemic and to get the all clear from Dr. Has a Clue!
