Wanna Trade?

Last year, we bought a Tivo that came with a special deal – buy a year of service in advance and get a Tivo for free. So we did it. Now I need to set it up – but I can’t give myself the Tivo Rewards points. So, anyone want to trade? I’ll give you my points if you give me yours when you get a Tivo. (In other words, you need a Tivo already. And you need to be a Tivo rewards member already.)

Let me know – otherwise, I know someone that can use my points. But I would love to get points in return. Well, I will get some points, as my parents are inheriting my old Tivo. Hopefully tonight, if I can get Mike to help get it out from the wire mess it is tangled up in!

Be Bold! Be Daring!

I just received my copy of “The Daring Females Guide to Ecstatic Living” in the mail today. I had already checked out the Daring Female website last week, so I was really curious to see what the book would offer.

I amuse myself when the first thing I think as I open the package is, “Oh! It has glitter on the cover! How cool is that! So cute! Look at it, when I move it, it sparkles!” Yes, you can laugh now. I did.

I’ve only had a chance to make an initial flip through the book, but so far it looks really interesting! I’m looking forward to reading it even more now – I need to learn to banner my inner perfectionist and embrace a daring life!

Loving the Project Runway…

I love Project Runway. I adore Project Runway. And this weekend, I have finally caught up on watching Project Runway. Yay! So now I could finally read all the fabulous recaps on fourfour and Blogging Project Runway. Oh my goodness, I’m in pain now from all the laughter.

Fourfour has many other great recaps – including my other favorite, America’s Next Top Model. I highly recommend it. Check it out, before I go all Shetangey on you!

I Can’t Stop Rolling My Eyes…

Last year in front of the Supreme Court the RIAA’s lawyers said it was perfectly legal within the realms of “Fair Use” to take your own CDs and convert the songs into mp3s to put on your own iPod. Now they are trying to say that it isn’t legal.

Workers must endure dangerously extreme weather, all while working under extreme pressure. Many times, workers will travel from rig to rig across dangerously rough waters, working at multiple stations a day. The Houston, Texas Oil Field Explosion Lawyer is designed to protect the legal rights of workers as well as the rights of those who work on jack-up rigs, barges, drill ships, crew boats, and other moveable vessels.

If I own the CD, I should be allowed to listen to it any way that I want. Things like this make me want to listen to nothing but podcasts, podsafe music released by the artists directly, and groups that aren’t signed to big labels that release CDs of their own music. Screw the deep pockets. Down with the man!
