Hic, Hic, Hiccup…

I had no idea that dogs could get the hiccups. Poor Chloe, she was sleeping in her bed here by me and she started hiccuping – her body is shaking with each one. (Ok, I’ll admit it – it is amusing and cute. But I still feel sorry for her because it has to hurt!) By the way, make sure to check out the emotional support dogs In The US if you want a lovely dog to give you companion.

London, Day 4…

At last! I’ve started posting the photos from day 4 of our honeymoon! The photos are from June 4, 2004 – and not only was it the 4th day, it was also the day with the most photos. Consider yourself warned. The first round of 23 are online, taken around Buckingham Palace. You can view the whole album here; below are some of my favorites. (Click to view larger at Flickr.)

Part of the reason I had so many photos from that day was because we got to meet up with D and Pix that evening. Those photos will be coming later. I’ll post here when they are ready.

Dog Days of Summer…

You Talking to Me?

I took Chloe to a TTouch training class a week ago, and afterwards we made a stop at Eleanor Tinsley Park so I could take skyline photos. As we walked through the park, I realized it was a great background for photos of Chloe. As I snapped more and more photos she got used to the camera being there (at least for the moment) and didn’t turn away like she usually does. These are some of my favorite shots from the day – you can view all of them larger on Flickr.

Open, Close, Open, Close…

Wheee! I can flex my hand! I can open my fingers all the way without wanting to cry in pain! Yeah!

I have a pain today that runs from my wrist up my middle finger, on the ring finger side, that feels like the muscle is too tight. I also can’t put a lot of weight on the hand – like I can’t use it to push on something still. (I like to note these things in case I need to remember later.)

But I can flex my hand! I even took the wrist splint off for a little bit this morning so I could move it around some. I’m so excited! (Hey, you have to find joy in the little things some days.)

Squeal!

First, I have to share publicly my gratitude for my SP5 pal, who is absolutely fabulous. My first gift box contained some great goodies.

Secret Pal Goodies!

The Felted Knits book, Knitting on the Road sock book, and fiber to spin up. (The fiber is so much more beautiful in person – I couldn’t get a photo that did it justice.)

Then, when I was feeling rather blue a few weeks ago, she sent me two skeins of Koigu. I love Koigu. I could knit with Koigu all day, every day. It is delicious!

Koigu and Card

Just a few minutes ago, the postman came to the front door with not one but TWO boxes for me! Wheeeee!!! One is from my Spoil a Blogger 2 pal, and one is from a mystery person since it came straight from Amazon! (Oh, mystery person … reveal yourself! Is it one of my secret pals or someone else? Please tell!) I’ll take photos later of the SB2 goodies – they are great, and the notes with them cracked me up. As for the books, I’m already picking patterns out of them, and looking forward to reading the other! Eee! I feel so spoiled! Thank you, thank you to everyone!
