Jason & I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a card early Sunday morning before lunch. Later on during the afternoon I realized I hadn’t seen Murphy in quite some time. I asked Jason where he was and he said he didn’t know. I always check when we have the front door open and make sure none of the cats slip out. Where was he? Shut in my closet, since he likes to just slip in there when I’m not looking? No. Under my bed? No. In Jason’s room? No. I was doing some laundry, maybe he’s went in by the washing machine? No. I left for dinner at my parent’s house with the sinking feeling that he must have slipped out when we got home from Wal-Mart, because I couldn’t find him anywhere. I wanted to look some more though before I broke the news to Jason that his cat was missing. As I returned from grocery shopping, I remembered – when we got home earlier, the small coat closet door was open and I pushed it shut as we walked in. Sure enough, when I opened the front door tonight, the closet door was open again and Murphy was laying on the floor! I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see him since the day we first brought him home.

I went grocery shopping tonight after dinner and I was able to find almost every item on my list except for one. Bread crumbs. Hm. I guess I’ll have to go to Fiesta by the office tomorrow for those. Meanwhile I got a few ingredients for recipes that I will be trying out this week and I realized after I got home that since I didn’t write down the recipe itself (just the ingredients) I’ll need to go back and read through the recipes again to match up the right ingredients with the right recipes! Don’t you just hate it when you do that?
