I think the Blogrolling Top 50 link list might be the only time that I will EVER be ranked higher then Jish or a lot of other cool people and sites. Wow.

You MUST Have a Plan…
No Plans, No Graduation Rite, Seniors Told. At eight San Fernando Valley high schools, students are only being allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies (walking across the stage) if they have committed to post-secondary education or training – college, trade school or the military. I’m all for post-high school training, but is it right to force it on them? There are always some kids who just aren’t ready to make that choice, and because education is only mandatory to the 12th grade, I think it’s wrong to deny them the chance to walk across the stage. That should be a given, whether you have plans in place for after high school or not, don’t you think?

More Housekeeping…
The more I looked at the skinned Blah Blah Media Blog, the less I liked it skinned with the skins for this blog. So I took them out. Then I stuck in skin #2 from this site for the moment. Maybe someday I’ll make some delicious skin with some famous person (fitting since it’s a Media blog) but for now this will do. The only people that might be confused are the people using that skin – but later in the week I’ll tweak it to make it a little different by changing the top graphic. The sidebar links are different too, so that should help!

Housekeeping…
I took some time this evening to go through the other pages on this site and clean up PHP calls that weren’t working correctly. Now all of the pages should be working with the skins. Yeah! I also worked on cleaning up the sidebars on most of the skins, although I have a few left to work on. The main thing that I added was a Media Consumption Blog so that I can easily update the sidebars with information on movies I have seen, books that I have read and so forth. The posts contain very little if any information right now, but as time goes on I will add little mini-reviews when I post new items. Many thanks to Kristine for helping me out with the code to generate the sidebar lists!

Help Desk Werkers…
Ever had the joys of having a help desk technician that is simply the worst of the worst? I have. Ticket responses rarely made sense, things took forever to get done. I was so thankful when I moved and started to experience the tech support I deserved again. Reading through The Chronicles of George reminded me of the bad times though. Scary, very scary.
