Two Hours, Later Tonight…

Thanks to Promo for pointing out earlier today that tonight’s Amazing Race is 2 hours long. 8pm – 10pm, CST. I will be blogging my commentary in near real time in one very long post. Yeah! Something to look forward to!

By the way, if you visit the Amazing Race site, you can now see Phil’s Photo Album. I just wish there were captions for the photos – I like to know what it is I am seeing.

Ultimate Dodgeball?

First of all, let’s establish the fact that I hated playing dodgeball as I was growing up. Carmen & Theresa would often make me their favorite targets of doom, hurling the ball at me at speeds that probably can’t even be measured. It was hell with a hard plastic ball. So for that very reason, the idea of “Ultimate Dodgeball” with celebrities is horrible. Yet, Dodgeball Reality Series on Target for TV. Someone is shopping this idea around, hoping that someone will pick up this show. May the network gods spare us from this misery… [via Mer, the Drama Queen]

802.11b Rocks!

Today I had Jennifer astounded and amazed as we discussed on IM our home wireless networks. I was able to toss out impressive terms like “802.11b” and “Wi-Fi”. We went on to discuss how happy we are that there are standards for 802.11b, allowing my 3Com wireless PCMCIA card to work with the Mac Airport that Cory set up at SXSW. If you are looking for more information on Wi-Fi, 802.11b/WiFi News is a GREAT resource. But like I told Jennifer, I knew as much as I did thanks to watching Chris on Call for Help.

Belated Birthday…

Naomi and I couldn’t celebrate it on Sunday because of Jason’s birthday. Yesterday didn’t work out because I was tired from my trip to Austin and Naomi wasn’t feeling well. But tonight … tonight is the big night! We are going to dinner in a little bit at Pappasito’s to celebrate her birthday! Yummmm! Time with Naomi AND Mexican food! I couldn’t ask for more! The big day was on Sunday, April 21st. And I didn’t even mention it. Sorry Naomi!

Sharks, Up Close and Personal…

Know what I can do with Jason now that he is 10 years old? I can take him to Seaworld San Antonio and we can participate in the Shark Interaction Program! “SIP enables animal enthusiasts to put on wetsuits, face masks and snorkels, then enter the sharks’ aquatic domain at SeaWorld’s Sharks/The Coral Reef habitat. From the safety of a steel protective barrier, SIPers go underwater for a shark’s-eye view of the sleek, silent ocean predators. As a bonus, SIP includes an opportunity to snorkel with and feed stingrays, also members of the shark family.” That would be SO cool!

In case you were wondering, I was actually working while making this post. I am surfing the Seaworld site for a reason. Now I want to leave work, hop in the car and go for a visit!
