I had a super busy day at work today. Well, technically yesterday since it’s after midnight now … but that’s not the point. Even though I was busy, I kept thinking that today is someone’s birthday. Even when I was at Wal-Mart picking out Jason’s birthday card for Sunday. But I couldn’t figure out whose birthday it was … until I went to Shawn’s site and it all clicked… HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAWN!!! (It’s still the 18th on the west coast right now – does that count?) Hope you had a GREAT day! And wishing you the best for the upcoming year! By the way, did you & your co-workers go to Denny’s for your free birthday meals.
A New Pad…
Metapad “is a small, fast (and completely free) text editor for Windows 9x and Windows NT with similar features to Microsoft Notepad but with many extra (and rather useful) features. It was designed to completely replace Notepad since it includes all of Notepad’s features and much, much more.” Looks pretty cool so far! Check it out!
Happy Moments…
Does it mean I am a true geek when I went to see why I was getting traffic from Lockergnome Tech Specialist only to squeal with joy when I saw that Randy had credited me with a find that he wrote up in the newsletter? Hmmm, probably. I even went so far as to IM Kymberlie about it, since she was on the phone with a client and I couldn’t tell her out loud.
The Truth & Nothing but the Truth…
Should History Record the Unvarnished Bush?: “goofs, and accompanying laughter, were stricken from the record — deus ex machina — in the official White House transcripts.” Official transcripts by definition should record exactly what was said and how Bush said it. I don’t care if he flubbed someone’s name or said we should volunteer for 4,000 years of work – record it as he said it instead of cleaning up the mistakes. That’s what they are there for, and as a citizen I think they should be recorded accurately.
In the Zone…
Not much to say because I have been in a total zone this week. Conference calls today & tomorrow, tweaking proposals, getting ready to write new ones. It’s been a good week and I’m in a good mood. I’m just in the zone. I am so focused it’s wonderful … but it doesn’t leave much room for blogging today. I want to take a moment to thank Jennifer for allowing me to join with the Scriptygoddesses, sharing my code finds. I am thrilled!
