New Home…

Here I am! Over here! Here, in the new home! The normal address should be working just fine tomorrow, and once that is up then the skins for the blog will be back. For now, I’m just happy to be moved!

Where Have You Been?

What a day I had yesterday. Our current server went down at 6pm on Monday night, and was just brought back to life early this morning. Fortunately, Robyn set up Blogaholics Anonymous – For Displaced Blogomanians and I have been blogging over there. Meanwhile, Blogomania is moving along with my site and everyone else’s. Yeah! At least the server is live again, so that makes the move a little less painful.

This will be my last post in this blog until I move. The DNS change has already been requested, so if you come back and see this post, you’ll know the move hasn’t gone through yet!

I just have to leave a HUGE thank you to EVERYONE that has helped with this project in the past 2 days. Your support has been amazing.

Could You Hear my Screams?

Good news! Good news! I first started working with a huge potential client back in December, and we survived the first round of the RFP, where they gathered basic initial data. Then we finally received a second RFP and the news that they had narrowed it down to two companies, us and another firm. Shortly after my return from SXSW I wrote their huge proposal and we sent my boss off to visit their headquarters in Tuscon. Today we got the news … the very big news …

THEY PICKED US!!!

Yes, I did jumps like a cheerleader and high-fived at least six people. I am SO excited!!! WHOO HOO! *Ah* There is nothing quite as sweet as that feeling of victory. w00t!

As If the Pop-Up is Not Enough…

Get ready for advertisers to take over your Web browser. Yes, you read that right. You thought the pop-up ads weren’t enough, right? So now they will just take over your whole browser! “A New York online ad technology firm, United Virtualities, is preparing to introduce a product that will allow advertisers to automatically change the appearance of Web browsers, usurping some of the functions built into popular browsers designed by Microsoft Corp. and Netscape Communications, a unit of AOL Time Warner Inc.” Oh, that’s just lovely. Get your hands off of my browser, damn it! Hopefully someone will talk some sense into these people, because I will never support a company that runs an ad like that. For a change I actually agree with Jakob Nielsen when he says “I think it steps over the line of what’s permissible. Changing software is not permissible. The software is mine.”

Gretchen is Inside MY Head…

So, the Des Moines Register decided to write an article about blogs, featuring Gretchen Pirillo’s blog. One minor problem … they quoted ME at the beginning of the article! I am the one that is making the short stories long! I am “Blah Blah Blog”! Tee hee! That is just too funny! Thanks to Gretchen for pointing it out! At least I can say I was in the paper … sort of!
