The cake was a big hit with the co-workers today! And most important, Kymberlie said it was really scrumptious! Some people ate the chocolate frosted side, others ate the cream cheese frosting. There was some left when I left today, so we can share some with Alex tomorrow when he returns from Louisiana. His birthday was on Saturday. Won’t he be surprised by the changes that went on while he was gone!

I went to the dentist this afternoon to have my very last crown put into place. Yeah! #5 and we are done! After my appointment I went to leave and had a dead car battery. Fortunately, there was someone nearby to jump my car for me, and it’s a standard so it was easy to put it in neutral and then push it out of it’s space. On my way back to the office I stopped at Sonic to pick up something to eat, and as I backed out of my space my foot slipped off of the clutch and the car stalled. Dead. The engine wouldn’t even turn over, at all. So again, I got a jump and then stopped at the auto supply store so they could test my battery. They told me to turn the car off so they could test it and I said “no way!” I drove back to the office, and sure enough – when I turned it off I couldn’t turn it back on. So I called my Dad to ask him if later on he would come & jump start my car and then follow me to a store to get a new battery. I made it to Sears just as the closed shop. He said my battery was so dead it wouldn’t even register on their reader! Now that is dead as a doornail! But the battery has been replaced and all is well again in Honda land!

For Jason’s birthday in April, I would like a LeapFrog Mindstation with an iQuest. Anyone ever use one of these? It looks super cool, and he likes to play educational games as long as they involve a computer. I think it would make a good gift!
