Boston!

I’m so excited! I’ve finally started posting photos from our trip to Boston in August, 2003 at Pixelog! Whoo hoo! I know, I know, it’s the little things that amuse me. I think after the Boston photos I have, I’m going to jump ahead and work on wedding and honeymoon photos. Having passed the 6 month mark now, it’s about time I edit those, isn’t it?

Looking at the Boston photos makes me really miss the city. *sigh* I want to go back! Soon!

6 Months…

Relaxing on the Beach

Today marks our 6 month wedding anniversary. Hard to believe how quickly time flies! I don’t think I ever dreamed that I would someday marry such a wonderful man. I am truly blessed.

We took this photograph on the beach the day after the wedding. I really wanted beach photos, but I wasn’t going to risk wearing my dress down to the Seawall until after the wedding day. Since we were married down in Galveston, beach photos only seemed appropriate. So we dragged Rannie out into the sweltering heat to take them for us. Considering how much I love these chairs and umbrellas, it was only appropriate to take some pictures while sitting in them.

A Christmas Story…

The holidays are here! I think that everyone needs A Christmas Story Leg Light String to complete their holiday decorations. Or how about a 10″ Talking Ralphie, complete with the Red Ryder gun of his dreams! If you prefer, you can collect the figurines.

The perfect gift for someone you love might just be to buy them an actual leg lamp – or, if you prefer, you can get them the desk lamp version.

Come on … I triple dog dare you!

Lost…

FireFox has decided to lose all of my bookmarks. All of them. Everything. I normally use a bookmark blog to save them, but for awhile I wasn’t – I had a lot of things saved in bookmarks, and now … gone. Even all of my bookmarklets are gone – no more “Press It” bookmarks, no Delicious bookmarks, no sub with Bloglines, nothing. I don’t even remember what all was there … it’s just now gone. I guess I’ll remember when I go to use it and I can’t find it.

It’s just so stressful when you lose things like that. Trivial, but still stressful.

The Real Reason…

I don’t like to clean for a reason. I don’t mind the basic day-to-day stuff, but we still have boxes around from when I moved in March. With the wedding in May, things just didn’t get unpacked. And some of these boxes (ok, most) are full of stuff that shouldn’t have moved anyways. Old papers, magazines, things like that.

My project for last night was to clear out the boxes that were in the study. I must have gone through 7-8 boxes, at least. I was a tossing machine – so much stuff has gone out in the trash, it is wonderful!

This morning, I feel like my head is going to explode. I have been attacked by the evil dust mites that must have been living among all that paper, and it sucks. Sudafed and Excedrin, I should be feeling better later (which is good, I still have 3 boxes to go through in there, and a lot more in other rooms). However, I was reminded once again … this is why I hate to clean.
