Just to clear things up, the people let go yesterday were not layoffs like I went through a year ago. No other rounds coming. This was truly a time where there was so much negative energy from the people that left that they just had to go. When you have people “secretly” providing good customer service to our clients because it is the right thing to do but it goes against process, that is all wrong. I mean, the customer service is right, and that’s what we are all about. Using process as a shield is wrong. I watched “Office Space” a few weeks ago, and I laughed so hard at the whole TPS report thing and the fact that he had 10 managers – because that’s where we were headed if “they” had had their way. Today the mood is entirely different, and it is a good thing… The pipeline is full, proposals closing soon, and so forth. All is well, I am not sitting on the edge of my seat fearing a layoff. Matter of fact, far from it. I believe in us, and as we have watched our competition close shop, we continue on.

I’m feeling sort of quiet today, and my posts are sort of sketchy, I know. And I didn’t post photos yet. It was an interesting day at the office, but like Kymberlie said, I am happier then ever to be here and truly believe in where the company is going. The boss cares. And in the end, isn’t that what matters? On that note, I’m going to go to the other boss’s house and kick back a margarita or two and unwind! What a day it has been!

Portia pointed out to me the other day that one of the books on my Wishlist is available online – Kodak: Guide To Better Pictures has a ton of good information. She also sent me the link to Taking Great Pictures which has even more information! Thanks Portia! Good stuff!

Did you come here earlier & notice there was nothing but a white page? And then head on over to Robyn’s site and see the same thing? Yeah, I don’t know what happened. The server wasn’t down because the Pixelog loaded just fine. Somehow MT must have had a hiccup and caused us to have blank pages. That’s all I can figure out because all it took to bring them back was a rebuild. Hmmm. Oh well, everything is back and normal now!

I have been craving a new design so badly I could almost taste it … I could see in my mind exactly what I wanted and everything – but I just could not make it happen. Until tonight. I finally just sat down and did it – and I love it. Come on, you know you want to check it out … skin the site and test #1. Let me know what you think or if you have an odd browser issues with it.
