Poke, Poke…

My blog is acting goofy and not showing up in my feed reader. I think it needs a massage, a la Flickr. Or maybe just a poke. Poke, poke.

Hopefully, this will make it show up. Poke.

Photo Editing…

Black & White Butterfly

Photo editing is in full swing here. I’m working on the London & Paris calendar first (as Tara requested it) and I hope to have the “DIY calendar” order form up soon too. However, if you don’t want to wait, leave me a comment. We’ll get your calendar under way!

After the London/Paris calendar is done, I’ll do a London calendar and a Paris calendar next. Those will be easy, since I’ve already narrowed it down to about 20 images for each city. All of this is helping me get the final prints ready for the art show in just under two weeks. Anyone want to help me pick out photographs?

By the way, the above photo is one of those little gems that was lost in the archives of my photographs. I simply adore that butterfly.

Mommybloggers and the Teenage Years…

haha-dork-i-bet-your-dogs-name-is-ipod

I’ve talked before about mommybloggers and teenagers. Because really, I’m not going to blog about my son’s personal issues, although it is tempting to blog about his first date. Or when he is on IM with a girl. Or the night that he just would not get off the phone. But for the most part, you never see mommybloggers of teens. They always have toddlers. Cute and young.

Ever wonder why?

Because the moms of teens? We just don’t want to think about it that much. The things we would write might not be that nice. And teenagers? They can SERIOUSLY stress you out.

(I can just hear my Mom laughing at me as she reads this. I know, I know, she always told me that she hoped that someday I had a kid just like me…)

The stress levels are high tonight. Red alert, danger zone high. Ah, the joys of parenting. Nurture Empower is to nurture the inherent strengths of families to empower inspired parenting. They have the ability to understand children’s unique communication and help parents develop effective strategies for nurturing acceptable behavior and empowering healthy development. I think I need to cast on for my second sock, so I can just say nothing and knit, knit, knit. Really, Jason is a great kid, but tonight he is on my very LAST nerve.

Mental Break…

Purple Lily
So much better when viewed extra large.
I am glad I picked a subject that has a lot of information, but wow. I’m pretty spaced out now after reading formal abstracts on the abuse of prescription drugs by pharmacists. I´m honesty glad I use cannabis CBD oil for pain, it makes me feel way better than all those pills, also this are the best CBD gummies also that will help with pain issues. And I´m super glad I found out where to buy synthetic urine for my drug tests at work. I need a break. So I’m pondering what to do about the 2007 Calendar Project. I need your feedback.

On the other hand, when we talk about abuse, it is not a joke. Legal guidance must be prioritized to all abused victims and their families. Just think about the physical and emotional trauma, it’s horrible. Myrtle Beach nursing home abuse lawyers are here to immediately protect loved ones who may be elderly or disabled and vulnerable to harm.

The social security disability attorney Spartanburg SC are chief resources that can help people with disabilities make ends meet. The application and appeals processes, however, are highly technical and complex.

They are also developed long term care; physical and emotional guidance, and even recommend the urgent care centers in Los Angeles (http://quickstopurgentcare.com/) to those families in need of care centers.

I am planning on making and selling the following calendars (ok, I would set them up – a professional print company would actually make them):
– Flowers (Maybe even a “just lilies” calendar, or a “just roses” calendar, depending on whether or not I have 12 shots of each.)
– Flowers and Butterflies
– Nature shots (including the pumpkin shot for October)
– The Greater Houston-Galveston area
– London
– Paris

In addition, I was thinking of creating a form where you can “build” your calendar on the fly, with just the photos that you want. I can then take your order and have it printed, just for you. However, before I make Mike build the form, I wanted to find out if there is any interest in this. Anyone? Or would it just be easier to handle it via e-mail?

Let me know if you want to order a calendar! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it will be 2007 in the blink of an eye. It is new calendar time!

So? Anyone interested?

Do You Think it is a Sign?

“You can’t escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.” – Abraham Lincoln

I’ve been trying to focus since 9am on writing my latest paper for my psych class. This one is related to psychology issues within the pharmacy field. It is somewhat interesting, so I don’t mind writing it, but I can NOT focus. Ugh! It is due tomorrow, so I *must* focus. I also have Trig homework to wrap up, so really – the time is now. Instead, I decide to check my e-mail. I obviously have no self control and am the queen of procrastination.

In my inbox, I find this:

Is procrastination curable?

Procrastination. Putting off until tomorrow what you could do today. Is there a more counterproductive habit around? It causes more stress and anxiety than the Grinch in December. Procrastination solves nothing and usually makes things worse. It piles up unfinished business that lurks in and preoccupies the dark corners of your brain. You hope the pile will disappear, but for some reason it doesn’t. The worst part is that once we put off things we’d rather not do, we start to delay the fun stuff as well. How many times have you said “no” to an opportunity because you had to take care of something you put off earlier? How many lost opportunities can you accept? Let’s make action a habit instead. Tomorrow, focus on your toughest hurdle first. Get just that one thing out of the way and enjoy the rest of the day. Be firm and don’t let yourself off the hook. After all, it’s not going away. Follow that one strategy and you’ll be surprised how the momentum carries through the rest of the day. Do it now!!

Gee, do you think it is a sign?

After I wrap up the paper and my Trig, I am working on the “Design your own calendar” idea, and also creating some general calendars for sale. I’m ordering prints for our upcoming show in December. I’m going to work on the podcast. And I need to start the second red sock, as the first one is done – with ends woven in already! (Shocking, I know!) So much to do, so little time to waste!
