I still haven’t heard from my ex-husband. He is stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC and at times like this I always worry about him. He & his girlfriend have a baby on the way – I hate knowing that he will probably be deployed, and how this will effect them. I guess it hits close to home for me since we were married one week before Kuwait was invaded and Desert Storm began. Then he had to go to Bosnia right after he got married a second time, and shortly after that that marriage ended in his second divorce. Hopefully that won’t happen to him again…

The candles, the flowers, the country-wide 3 minutes of silence in memory in the Netherlands – where people are actually out of their cars on what looks like a highway. It says so much about the human spirit…
