I have intentionally stayed offline this weekend just to get lots of stuff done. Friday night I had some nice unwinding time and did some housework. Saturday morning we had to run to the dentist office. Oh, I forgot to mention that one of my permanent crowns that was glued in in November had popped out while I was eating lunch on Friday. Yes, it was a lovely sight and I think Kymberlie thought she was going to have to rescue me from choking – when really all that was happening was I was trying to avoid swallowing the crown. By yesterday morning the poor tooth hurt. Bad. So I met Dr. Troy at his office and we put it back into place, but with a transitional glue again just in case I need a root canal on that tooth. Then it was off to do the car registration, have the car inspected, and a trip to Wal-Mart. We came home and Jason & I watched “The Mummy”. Later on Chelsey & Jordan came by for pizza (Chelsey’s treat!) and some time to visit. Today has been pretty low key so far – the Christmas goodies need to come down tonight, but first I think we might head out to go see the Lord of the Rings.

When I read “I am geek, hear me snort” I was intrigued. It was the blog snob tag line for Singing Potatoes. Visit. I am amused. Then again, I am a geek too.

A French barkeeper confessed that a cheeky customer had tricked him out of a free drink by paying with euro Monopoly money. Now that’s funny. We always joked when I first moved to Germany that the money looked like monopoly money – but after awhile the good ol’ greenback started to look quite boring being so plain. I still miss colorful money. If you get your hand on some Euro money and you are wondering, Euro notes can’t take the heat, but the come out of the washing machine ok. (Link thanks to Fark)

Kymberlie & I went over to the mall to get a fast bite for lunch and we discovered that the calendar store has everything on clearance of course… and while I was there I discovered The Blue Day Journal (at a price *much* lower then Amazon!) so cheap that I could not pass it up – plus I still had $10 to spend from a Christmas gift that was returned! I am really excited about using this journal for writing prompts – from what I saw while I flipped through it it looks really good!
