Tell Me, Tell Me, Tell Me…

I am curious – for those of you out there reading this site via bloglines or the feed reader of your choice (mine is NewsGatorOnline) – does it bother you that I added the photos to my feed? Does it slow the feed reader down, slowing you down, causing you to just skip reading altogether?

I’m just trying to figure out what works best for the end user. While I primarily gear the site towards my needs and interests – I mean, it is a personal site after all – I like to make sure it is working for you.

I would be nothing without you. You? You mean thw world to me.

Now, be nice, stop blurking and leave a comment. *grin*

Henry is Here!

Katie, aka BeingKatie, had her baby! Henry was born on yesterday (4/5/06), so he shares his birthday with Mike! I must say, he is quite adorable.

Congratulations to Katie & Chris! I can’t wait to meet Henry! Let me know when you want those family portraits taken!

A Moment of Pure Brilliance…

Flying By

When I was recording the most recent podcast yesterday, I made the most brilliant statement…

“I have several friends that are about to have newborn babies.”

Because, you know, sometimes people give birth to older babies. Or toddlers. Or teenagers.

This is why my first few podcasts were done with a well written “script” in front of me, and not off the cuff like the last two have been.

Birthday Wishes Knittastic!

Happy Birthday, Mike!

Today is Mike’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Mike!

I could go on and on, blabbering about how wonderful he is – because trust me, he is truly amazing. Best husband ever. Jason & I could never ask for more. However, I’m not going to go on and on about it right now because I have a Chemistry test in just over an hour!

Mike was the guest DJ for episode 4 of the Pointy Sticks podcast . It is definitely the get up and dance episode! Yo, DJ, kick it!* So even if you aren’t into knitting or you have never listened to a podcast before – check it out! You can even listen right on your computer! (Well, if you have a working sound card. Which we don’t have in our desktop PC right now.)

* “Yo, DJ, kick it!” is courtesy of the “Sirens of TI” – the show at TI (aka Treasure Island) in Las Vegas. Kymberlie and I decided that even though it was the worst show ever, it was also the funniest – and that was one of our favorite lines.

DeLay Announces Resignation From House…

DeLay Announces Resignation From House

Succumbing to scandal, former Majority Leader Tom DeLay said Tuesday he is resigning from Congress, a move that closes out a career that blended unflinching conservatism with a bare-knuckled political style.

I’m stunned. Speechless. Overjoyed? Is that too strong? Nah, probably not. Every time I see Tom DeLay on TV, I shout “Spawn of Satan!” at him. I’m so glad I don’t live on the south side of Houston, and he was not my representative in the government. But to see him out of there makes me just giddy with glee. Sad, but so true. [via Mac who has a lot more to say about it.]

I can’t wait to see the fall-out of this. Here is the Houston Chronicle’s article about his upcoming resignation and the scandal he is facing. I can’t wait to see what Chuck has to say about this. Oh, it is going to be gooooooood…

[This now concludes my semi-annual political blogging content. Regular content will resume shortly. Thank you.]
