More Fun Than Studying…

I should be studying for my Chemistry test tomorrow, or reading my Biology book. Or learning about quadratic equations, which I need to get a grasp of by Thursday for my Algebra test.

Instead, I’ve been clearing out the blogroll. First I removed some blogs that I know are dead and gone. Then I went through all of the “A” and “B” blogs (alphabetically) and cleaned out the dead sites or changed URLs as needed. I will continue over the next few weeks; then I know there are other sites I need to add.

It is always such a delimna for me – I have sites I link to that I no longer read. But I still hesitate to remove the links for silly sentimental reasons. How crazy is that? I have to admit though that with my new and improved “purge it if you don’t need it” attitude at home, it is making it easier for me to purge the links. It still makes me sappy though. Things change, and I don’t always like that fact.

Charlotte’s Web!

Resting

Up Close

Lounging

Charlotte’s Web – started in May, 2005, completed July 28, 2005. (Blocked on October 13, 2005.) 5 skeins of Koigu, size 6 Denise needle with a 40″ circular cable. Yarn purchased at Hill Country Weavers in Austin, TX (while at SxSW in March, 2005) and Rosie’s Yarn Cellar, Philadelphia, PA (while visiting Mac in May, 2005).

This was such a fun pattern to knit! It took a few rows to get used to the chart, but once I got that under way it was a dream! Plus working with Koigu is always fabulous. I loved this one so much, yarn for a second shawl has already been purchased!

(I’ll post the second round of photos soon!)

Name That Actor…

I’m working on getting the pictures ready while watching Sense & Sensibility. As soon as Col. Brandon walked into the room, I started doing the “who is that, who is that???” routine. Of course, I had to look it up on IMDB. Dude! Professor Severus Snape is in Sense & Sensibility! (And he is the voice of Marvin in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, in case you didn’t know.)

I realize I might be the last person on this planet to clue into this, but … I’m still stunned! Every time he speaks, I giggle. It’s Snape!
