I feel like someone has zapped all of the life out of me. I was so tired last night that I started nodding off at 7:15! I stayed up later then that, but barely. Today I slept soundly until 9am, and I was completely disoriented when I woke up. I thought it was a weekday, I was confused, then worried because it was 9 and I was late for work, and the phone was ringing, and finally I figured out that it was Saturday. After I got up and ate breakfast I still couldn’t keep my eyes open and slept on the couch until lunchtime. Even now I just want to lay down and go to sleep, although I’m finally feeling a little better after drinking a Pepsi. I’ve been pretty much caffeine free for the past 2 weeks, but I did have a Coke at lunch yesterday and all I can figure out is that the lack of caffeine was dragging me down. Ugh. I might just have to take Excedrin daily so I can function, because being sleepy like this sucks!
You Sure you Want to Hear that Song?
Have a Mac? Play music at your own risk: “Mac users may want to check the labels on their music CDs twice, as copy-protected audio discs flooding the market may lead to serious problems when they are played on some computer systems.” Be sure to check the label! [via Barkingmoose]
Team Smiley – Online!
We called them “Team Smiley” but they probably preferred Blake and Paige Mycoskie: Team Mycoskie. Go check out their photos, and it seems their merchandise is coming soon. Bummer to have to wait for it! (Yeah, right.) [via Promo]
Middle of Nowhere…
They say if you want to see Episode II they way that Lucas meant for you to see it, you need to see it at a theater that is using Digital Projection. So I checked out the Digital Projection Theater Listing and while I’m not surprised that Plano, Texas is on the list (Dallas/Ft. Worth), I find it absolutely hysterical that Big Spring, Texas is the only other city in Texas listed. For the most part, Big Spring is in the middle of nowhere. Inbetween Abilene and Midland, out in West Texas. (About 8 hours from Houston.) If you look it up on a map it’s pretty obvious that it’s not one of the major Texas cities. But I’ll be damned, they have digital projection!
Just released at Microsoft TechNet, browser patch fixes for IE 5.01, 5.5 and 6.0. Thanks to LockerGnome for pointing this out, they say in the Tech Specialist newsletter that “A cumulative patch for Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 5.5 and 6.0 has been issued, including all of the previously released security fixes, along with six freshly announced vulnerabilities. The new flaws can result in all sorts of nasty things happening if you hit a page that has been maliciously coded.” So go patch it up!
