Robyn & Todd keep trying to talk me into moving to Tampa so I can hang out with them, but as Todd so kindly pointed out – it’s hotter there then it is here in Houston. Yes, 84 there today, and only 75 here. And I am supposed to be in the holiday spirit? When I have the AC running and it is 75 degrees outside? Yeah, ok, RIGHT, to be honest I just spent the day reading https://www.stdaware.com/stds/treatment information. I think I’ll go put on some shorts so I can decorate the Christmas tree. At least we are going to get lows in the 40s later this week…

I had to follow in Todd’s footsteps and do the Ho Test. My results? “You are 30 – 48% HO! Ooooo…saucy! You’re no HO but you’re certainly no prude! Pop Princess Britney Spears tested into this category.

Damn, I’m almost disappointed. But you know … it didn’t ask the right questions, because I am, after all, 60% Slut.

I had to jump on the bandwagon and take The Eighties Pop Act Test. Totally cracking up over Saturday Night Live’s TV Fun House sketch about “The Narrator that Ruined Christmas” … it’s a spin on the snowman that narrates the Rudolph movie, the one with the Abdominable Snow Monster … this is too damn funny! “It just all seems so trivial right now! I mean, we’re still in Afghanistan, this country is under seige, you know, we’re getting warnings every week … and what are we talking about here? And Abdominable Snow Monster? Oooooh… I’m so scared! Let’s all worry about some crappy ass snow monster! Come on folks, you watch CNN … Screw it, I can’t do this.” Then the kids watching TV say “So Rudolph isn’t going to be saved from the Snow Monster this year?” The snowman is watching Geraldo on CNN!!! Too damn funny. Whoo! It’s the elf that wants to be a dentist! This is great.

Even though I am sure she has never visited my site, I thought it was only the right thing to do by starting this post off by wishing my Mom a Happy Birthday!

I just got home after having dinner with her, my Dad and Jason at Fuddrucker’s. (Not sure why, but Jason got to pick where we went!) Then we went back to their house for cake & ice cream. I’m still full from dinner, so none for me! Afterwards we visited for awhile. After I arrived home I remembered I needed to reset the DNS entries on the computer – and sure enough that did the trick and I am back online! Yeah, BABY! Whoo hoo! Now maybe I can catch up on all the reading I missed this week!

FYI … in case anyone wonders why I could get on IM but not the Internet – IM is served up via IP addresses. Not DNS. So when my DNS settings were off (pointing at the company’s old DNS server info), I couldn’t “see” anything that required a DNS entry. Had I tried to hit this site by IP address instead, I would have seen it. That is the end of today’s lesson…
