Late Night Thoughts…

As I watch late night tv (infomercials) I have to say – while Tony Little’s equipment may be great, that long blonde ponytail has *got* to go. I want one of these Gazelle freestyle trainers though… Man, these infomercials are dangerous! (But I am going to go get the lower end version at Wal-Mart next week.)

My Blue House…

Know why I love visiting mybluehouse…or bleublog (for ze francophiles)? Because not only is Becky a mom, and she writes so well … but she lives in France. I have read her site for months (a year?), but had never got around to adding her to my list of links. I need to rearrange them tomorrow … some to add, some to remove. I may keep a main list here and make a longer list on a pop-up window. Yes, I need more blogs to read…

The Torch is Coming!

The Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Torch Relay will be heading through Houston on Monday! Whoo hooo! And today’s Houston trivia … Houston is the “youngest” major city in the US with a median age of 30.3 years old. No wonder I feel so ancient! Also, Houston was the first word spoken from the moon. (You know, something like “Houston, the Eagle has landed…”) Yep, just 2 months before I was born. (Facts about Houston from the Coca-Cola Torch Relay site.)

Our Government…

CNN.com – Ashcroft: Critics of new terror measures undermine effort “To those who pit Americans against immigrants, citizens against non-citizens, to those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is this: Your tactics only aid terrorists for they erode our national unity and diminish our resolve,” Ashcroft told the Senate Judiciary Committee. “…Charges of kangaroo courts and shredding the Constitution give new meaning to the term ‘fog of war,'” Ashcroft said.

I want to know what school this man (and Duhhhbya too) went to, because they DEFINITELY did not learn about the same U.S. Constitution I learned about. And that “Fog of War” bit… Wasn’t our Constitution written just after the “fog of war” lifted, as our country was just starting? Dealing with terrorist (pirates), dealing with immigrants … Ugh. I could go on and on about the zillions of ways I feel these actions go against the core of what is written in the Constitution and the spirit in which it was written. Ugh. (Link thanks to Adam)

I Don’t Normally go for the Cowboy…

But Clay Walker can always make me SWOON. *sigh* And that voice… melts me every time. Plus I love any man that sings a song about being in love with someone because she of her “quirks”.
