I finally got around to taking the photos off of my camera and adding one over at Common Threads. I will add more over the next few days. (You can see mine here if it’s no longer on the first page.)
Awww, Pretty Flowers…
Kymberlie won pretty flowers delivered to her once a week for 4 weeks (I think that’s right) and the first batch she got last week were Gerber Daisies. Awwww… So I went over and took a picture of them (with her in the background) for her since they looked so great!
Hmmm… How Would it Work with Three Cats?
Thanks to Zal for the info on How to Toilet-Train Your Cat. Question is … could I train all three at once? What a mess, er, fun that would be!
Here Kitty, Kitty…
Chelsey looked at a house for rent on Saturday. Close to mine (yeah!) but they didn’t get it. (BUMMER.) She lives 45 minutes away in the school district from Hell. Anyways … when she was looking at the house she discovered an adorable long hair tortoise-shell colored (calico-ish without the white) cat living in the back yard. HUNGRY. We went and got it food at Wal-Mart and went back to feed it later on. It is undernourished with skinny sides, a lot like my Murphy was when I got him. She (we are pretty sure it’s a she) was GORGEOUS. And soooo sweet, but then again she was hungry & we had food. No collar, no tags – we think the previous owners left her behind, or maybe she was lost and they couldn’t find her to take her with them.
Chelsey said at first that she didn’t need “another mouth to feed” with one cat (whose sibling she didn’t take because she only wanted one), 3 dogs (2 Bischons, 1 Lab), and 2 horses. I said I would take her, but then she told me she wanted her. So we left her there with food for a day or two, and Doug went back and fed her again yesterday. Now … Chelsey said I could go back and get her. But … 3 cats? Will I be known as the crazy lady with 3 cats? Will she do well with the other 2? (Who don’t get along at all anyways.) I doubt if Mona would like her. Murphy is cool though, and maybe she would be more willing to play then Mona is. But at times we are finally feeling “settled” – like this morning when I woke up and they were both sleeping on the bed with me. I was surprised, Mona normally runs if Murphy gets that close.
And my parents already think I am nuts for having 2 cats. What sort of crap will I get from them for taking in a 3rd one?
But she is sooooooo pretty. And no kitty deserves to be abandoned like that. And if worse comes to worse, and she doesn’t fit in at our house with the other 2 cats, I am sure I could take her to the people that I adopted my other two from – they take in stray rescue kitties. I would need to take her in to make sure she doesn’t have fleas, etc. so the other guys don’t get sick, because that would suck. I hate to go get her tonight because I will be out of town tomorrow and here at work on Friday. Hmmm… But she sure is pretty. I love kitties. Suxor. What should I do?
What Happened to the Truck?
I am tired. My head hurts. I feel like a truck hit me. Blah. And to top it all off, I am stuffed – we just had a big Turkey Day lunch at the office. Ugh. But it was all so tasty, even the apple pie that I bought! Now I just want to go and curl up in the big chair in the Design room and take a nap!
