Years ago I read Travels with Samantha. I loved reading it – which isn’t that surprising considering how vicarious I am, reading all these blogs. It was a nice treat when I stumbled across the link at Photo.net. I forgot that Philip Greenspun’s works were featured there. I even wrote to Philip once in the past, and he was kind enough to allow me to use one of his foliage pictures (under the Travels link on the menu bar) on a site I was working on at the time. Those pictures are still breathtaking… all of them. I love the Italy series. I want to get a better camera someday, so I can create such beautiful images again.
Birthday Wishes!!!
Happy Birthday Lee! Hope you have a wonderful day!
The Week in Pictures on MSNBC – See Naomi? This is why it’s not smart to mail nice little packets of white powder, even if it is OxiClean. The packets break open. The postal workers are scared – and I would be too!
SNL Update…
At first I was disappointed when I discovered that SNL was a rerun tonight. I have to say though, it was hysterical! Tina Fey talking about the women’s contraceptive patch – a 3″ circle that says “Get the Hell Off of Me!” The Moulin Rouge spoof. (That comes out on DVD in December, and I am definately getting it!) And Bon Jovi in the skit with the two dancer guys? Hysterical. He was so close to losing it – totally cracking up. I loved it. The chick in the “Wake up Wakefield” skit is a nut. And I got to listen to Bon Jovi sing. I didn’t care for Bon Jovi much during the ’80s. As I have gotten older I actually like them some now. How is that for strange?
I Must Confess…
Can I just say that I love 80’s music? Thanks Keith for sharing the 80’s Playlist for the party. And for sharing the correct Jack & Diane lyrics – I always wondered what that line was.
