I just finally watched the “Average Joe: Adam Returns” series that has been sitting on the TiVo since March. I adored Adam in the first season of Average Joe. I cheered for Adam throughout his own special series. But in the end?
Adam sucks.
(Yeah, if that’s a spoiler for you, I’m sorry. It’s been like 5 months since the show aired, so it should be old news.)
What else have I been up to besides watching old stuff on the TiVo?
– Friday: Took Jason to my Mom’s and visited with her for a bit. Stopped at Office Max on the way home for stuff on sale. Prepped for BBQ we were hosting on Saturday for Doug & Chelsey. Marathon e-mail session with Kathy about Stampin’ Up, my upcoming “debut” party (11th of September! I’m psyched!) and co-hosted project days. Worked on Chelsey’s Knot bio.
– Saturday: Speed cleaning finale for the BBQ. Made my first two cards all on my own using Stampin’ Up! goodies. (I was so proud!) Attended Hanna’s bridal shower at Elaine’s house. Zoomed home for the BBQ at our place. Hosted a rather stellar party, fun was had by all. Food was fabulous as always. Kathy arrived and helped Chelsey & I make her gable boxes for the Out of Town guests, and they rocked! Sore arm from rolling stamp designs on 20 boxes (2 sided). Crashed. Hard.
– Sunday: Slept late. Jason came home, with his friend Patrick so they could go to Scout stuff together later in the afternoon. I left to visit Maison Pants, wearing my house pants, of course. Had an absolutely FABULOUS massage from Sarah. Chatted. Shared crafty tips. Inherited “Cooking Light” and “Real Simple” magazines, along with others. Came home, ate dinner, and crashed. Hard. Again.
– Monday: Fell asleep so early, I actually woke up at 4:30 am at first. Ugh. Slept some more. Got up at 6:00 to get Jason off to school. Came home and read. And read. And read. Read over 500 pages in my latest read, Outlander. Yes, it’s that good. Avoided all electronics – no TV, no Internet, nothing but a good book. Bliss.
– Tuesday: Read some more. And more. Only about 100 pages left in the book. (It’s a long book.) Watched “The Amazing Race” with Jason (from last week – we’re still a week behind). Watched the rest of “Average Joe: Adam Returns” (I really want to go and kick Adam in the shins.) Reviewed a lot of Stampin’ Up information, gathering tips and ideas.
And it’s not over yet. Still coming up? I have a project day in the Woodlands tomorrow, have a potential customer to meet with, need to get Chelsey’s unity candle, her wedding dress, my bridesmaid dress, take Jason to a doctor’s appointment, and do yard work. On top of all that, I really want to finish my book.

Oh, yes…I loved the “Outlander” series. I still have to read the last one, “The Fiery Cross”. I Think I’m going to head over to Amazon and pick it up now!
The Outlander series is the best! I’m re-reading them now. I’m on the second book “Dragonfly in Amber”. Diana G. rocks!
