Preparing…

In the days after 9/11, I don’t think any site affected me more than Michele’s. I’m in tears right now just thinking about it. I don’t even have to re-read her posts to recall the words. She put in to human terms what the TV couldn’t. I talked about her to people I knew as if she had been a lifelong friend, not someone whose blog I had read for a few months. “My friend in New York…” It was truly a profound time, as moments like the days that followed 9/11 tend to be. I still remember every minute of that week as if it was yesterday.

Michele is opening her site tomorrow to comments from other people. I’ve mentioned before that she has been writing the past 2 weeks about the event and how it touched her. Now it’s your turn. She wants to collect your thoughts on questions that she has posted there. So please, go and share.

Shouldn’t I be Sleepy?

I was wide awake until 5:30am last night, and got a phone call that woke me up at 7:15am and got up to get ready for work at 8:00am. (I went back to sleep for the 45 minutes inbetween.) I should be tired right now – and I’m not. What’s up with that? I’ve been wide awake all day, and I’ve only had one Coke. Caffeine is playing no roll here.

Maybe it’s stress? The final round of nominations for Big Blogger were today. Ken & Benjy have been nominated, and now one of them will be voted off. I haven’t decided who I would vote for if I could – but when I do I’ll let you know. This means I made it to the final 4. The next round, the public gets to decide who goes up for nomination and the vote. After that, we’ll be down to 3 and the public will pick the winner. I’ll keep you posted, but for the moment I am in the clear!

Edited: I’ll let you decide who to vote for, but here’s my take on it. Ken is a strong player. Stronger then Benjy is, in my opinion. Ken is going to be a much bigger threat for me in the long run. Soooo… well, like I said, I’ll let you decide.
