Delightful Scents…

Want to smell some candles that are nothing short of delicious? Head on over to Bay Candles and get some of the best smelling candles I’ve come across in a long time. The “Muffin Candles” not only smell great, they look so realistic Jason thought we were going to have muffins for breakfast! (He was a little surprised when I pointed out that they were candles – not real food!) Elizabeth (with a new domain!) has quite a talent making these!

Dumb Laws…

I already knew that there was a law on the books in Texas still that said Wire cutters can not be carried in your pocket. (You know, so you can’t go cutting fences and stealing cattle.) Some of the other laws are pretty interesting. Check out your state and make sure you’re not breaking any laws that you didn’t know about! [via Faith]

Damn, Has it Been a Year?

You know, it seems like just yesterday … and at other times it seems like Robyn has always been a part of my life. But it’s only been a year – or it has already been a year, depending on how you want to look at it. Either way, just a year ago she wondered if she could keep this whole blogging thing up. Happy Blogiversary, Robyn! I knew you could do it. And I’m really glad that you have. *smooch!*

Edited: Oops. Thanks to having another headache, I just realized that today is just the 10th. Her 1 year mark is actually on the 12th – which is Monday. Well, let me just be ahead of the game and congratulate her a few days early – Monday is going to be a crazy day at work, and I’ll be lucky if I get to post. So … Happy Blogiversary a few days early!

(Note to self: Add script from Scripty Goddess that will allow posts written in advance to appear in the future!)

Ever Had One of Those Days?

Ever had one of those days? I mean, one of those really, really bad days? Mine started off with the alarm clock breaking. Kymberlie called and woke me up when I wasn’t at the office. Greeeeeat. Still needed to take a shower, get ready for work, that whole routine. I tested out my alarm clock – instead of the alarm, it let out a quick, quiet “eep!” and that was it. No snooze, nothing else. No wonder I slept through it. Then it was off to work, hit the ground running, get a ton of things done. There were some various things going on at work that had both of us a bit stressed out. At 2:30 we realized we had to leave the office and go get something to eat, even though neither one of us was very hungry. On the way, Kymberlie asked, “Can this day get ANY worse???” I immediately thought of Todd and Robyn (and Todd’s accident) and said emphatically, “YES, yes it can. We could get in an accident this afternoon.” But we didn’t – thank goodness! The rest of the afternoon didn’t get much better, but towards the end of the day we were finally able to laugh about some of it.

When I got home tonight I got a call from Hilary. It was WONDERFUL to get to talk to her! Hopefully we will be getting together this weekend – probably tomorrow (well, later today!) and I’m *really* excited about that! The evening got better from there. I prefer to end things on a positive note!
