Awwww, Man…

When I was a sophomore in college I had a roommate named Amy. When we got back from Christmas break, I discovered that a friend of ours was stuck with a psycho roommate, and another friend didn’t have a roommate at all (but she didn’t know the first friend) So Kristi was moving in with me, and Amy was going to move down the hall and room with Michelle. Boom. No one asked me, although it all worked ok in the end. Not a big deal, just a complete surprise.

Tonight Robyn has moved out of our cozy little home here. She moved in back in November after being hosted on the server from hell. She needed a domain, and it was her birthday, so I gave her BlogBlogBaby.com because I wasn’t using it anyways. In honor of her 1 year blogging anniversary, she decided that it was time to move on up and move out to live on her own, with a domain name that she created herself. She’s creative like that, you know. So when you go to look for her, you’ll find her over at TampaTantrum.com. Her new digs are all groovy like, and the place is spiffy and cozy as always. We’ll get blogblogbaby.com pointed to her new home soon. For now, upgrade your links. Pop in and tell her hi.

I’ll miss you, Robyn. You made me a better person being my “roomie” and it was an honor to have you “live” with me. I’m here if you ever need anything, and don’t worry – I’ll still be dropping in to your home all the time! *smoochies!*

They’re Twins?!

Kymberlie and I were just discussing Mikey’s post about the “Attack of the Clones” and … I have a confession. See, I knew that Anakin was Darth Vader, and that he was Luke’s father. (“Luke, I am your faaaaather…”) But you see, I had no clue that Princess Leia was his twin sister. Dude! How did I live all these years without knowing that? I had no clue! That explains why my life has felt so incomplete.

Seriously, I haven’t watched the first three movies (now numbered 4 through 6) since they came out in the theater, and I only saw them then because I was a kid and taken there with my friends. I never saw Episode I. I saw Episode II, but I couldn’t keep half the characters straight. I enjoyed it, but didn’t know really what was going on.

But I had no idea that Luke & Princess Leia were twins. I can’t believe it. Really, you can laugh at me – I’m ok with it. I still just don’t believe I had no idea. Did you know? Was I the last person to find out the truth?

I *heart* Friends…

Don’t you love it when you have a problem and you know that you can call on friends for help finding a solution? I’m blessed with some pretty darn good friends, and for the moment I’m especially thankful for Kristine and Jennifer for their coding talents, and Ciscley and Robyn for their input on my brainstorming. Little projects here and there, some things that may grow big over time… and I’m thankful for their help. Consider this my Participation Positive a day late…

Slaying Dragons…

It’s not often that I point out a specific post at someone else’s blog and say “go read this.” But I’m doing it today, and I’ll tell you why. Just over a year ago the Insignificant Other and I broke up. I returned from my trip to North Dakota and he just snapped – because I didn’t call him the day of my return thanks to cell phone that wasn’t working properly. Whatever. A few days ago I was going to write about it since it was the one year anniversary. Tonight I was thinking about the fact that his birthday is at the end of the month and I wanted to send him a card. No!!! So as I come back to my senses, I needed to re-read Regrets to a Dragon. I think you should too.
