Wondering what a Blurker is? Well, it’s a phrase that Mike & I helped to define back in 2002, shortly after we first met.

Blurker (BLUR-kur): n. 1. One who reads many blogs but leaves no evidence of themselves such as comments behind; a silent observer of blogs. 2. One who reads many blogs but has no blog of their own; a blog-watcher or blog voyeur.

So if you want to increase your traffic or meet new people – whatever works for you – then shake off the label and comment. I promise, we’re nice around here.

Okay, I’m a blurker, I admit it. shhhh….I may have commented once or twice, so not completely a blurker? Does that count?

oh my… i’ve been called a lot of things… now i must confess to being a blucker. Anyway, I have enjoyed your blog for quite some time. There, I’ve said it.

Ok, since I am reading your blog pretty much everyday I guess I can say “Hello!” once in a while (even if I am a bit late…).
But I really don’t know what to comment on.
Good work, though, keep it up!

Hi, my name is Reanne, and I’m blurker. I have been reading your site for quite some time, I don’t have mine own blog, and when I see most commenters on blogs are bloggers themseleves, well I don’t want to elbow my way in to the community with no blog of my own to offer. What’s going on with Smaller Pink Cookie? I haven’t seen a post in awhile.

[…] Case in point: Christine @ A Big Pink Cookie was talking today about blurking and I read that post without reading the previous post and left a comment. (although I have since gone back , and none of my comments are there, so either she has a modifier for her comments, my computer doesn’t like hers and wont’ leave messages, or she hates me. […]
