But They Were So Pretty…

I went to Wal-Mart last night to pick up some grocery items and other random things and as I walked in the front door I spotted the prettiest miniature rose plants. They were a beautiful soft pink and so gorgeous, I couldn’t pass them up. I figured that with Mike in London this week, they would be a good Valentine’s Day treat for me while he was gone. I had the perfect spot on my desk and they would look so pretty, cheering me up throughout the day. I started to search for office plants to hire for my office, because my office is so empty and need some more plants.

That was until today, when I discovered that I am allergic to them. Every time I would go in to my office, instant stuffy nose. Leave the office for a little bit, it would all clear up. Until finally the allergy thingies grabbed ahold of me – now I just can’t breath, but my nose won’t stop running. Forget about cheering me up – they have made me miserable. The pretty pink roses have been moved to an office down the hall and hopefully the Claritin will kick in soon so I can breath again.

Rather than leave you with that lovely image, I would like to point out that Gretchen is serving up hot boobies and cool pie. Enjoy the treats!

I swear I think those damn Walmart employees sprinkle their flowers with allergens of some sort. I’m not allergic to anything but everytime I buy something from their garden center it’s not a good thing!

I had one of these, it was called Fairy pink or something and it grew really well in the garden, it’s huge now and the flowers are eally pretty in the Summer. I have hayfever but the rose hasn’t set it off so I guess you were just unlucky!
