Candle Post a Hoax…

See? That’s what I get for not checking out myself. Duh. Oops. The candle post below is false – you can read all about it HERE. Sorry about that. Thanks Naomi for reminding me to check the facts first…

Unless every city in the country is going to extinguish all of its artificial lighting at just the right time, a satellite photo simply isn’t going to pick up candlelight. Go ahead and light a candle tonight, but don’t feel you need to say “cheese” — you won’t be on a candid satellite camera. ”

I am still going to light some candles. My own little prayer garden. Just because.

Ah, man that stinks. My DAD even sent me e-mail about it. He didn’t think the satellite thing would work (being an optical scientist and all), but he was ready to participate nonetheless. This is a man who has NEVER participated in anything like that before. I was so happy that he was all into it. I don’t think I’m going to tell him and I hope he doesn’t find out.
