It Just Tastes Better…

As Ken recently mentioned, there are Pepsi campuses and there are Coke campuses. (Coke the drink, thank you.) Back when I went to A&M, we had both drinks on campus, but I have noticed this change. So, which sort of campus was your school? And which one do you think is better?

Personally, I agree with Ken.

The Results are In…

The moment we have all been waiting for … the results for today’s vote are finally in at Big Blogger All-Star! Rusty … 31 votes. Christine … 19 votes. Serra? 91 votes. It should be noted that the last vote only had 98 votes total – so at 141 votes, I think we had an effect on the game. WHOO HOO!!!

I would like to take a moment to thank all of the following people for their support yesterday & today. Visit them, they are all wonderful: Donna, Robyn, Jennifer, Kristine, Promo, Kymberlie, Christine, Statia, Ginadapooh, Ciscley (especially for her posts on the message board and in her blog too!), Ste, Dreamwolf, Amy, Wendell, Shelli (thanks for the cool graphic!), Mike (who said the 19 people that voted for me suck), Katie, Gina, the original pink Christine, Geri (who blogged about it for me too!), Charity, pero, Stacey, Lisa, Ed K. for his “Save Christine” campaign, Rusty for his “plea” post, and last but not least, Rannie and Shel, my Blogwhore Masters who taught me everything I know about TRULY being a blogwhore. Thank you. All of you.

Well, Ahoy There!

Not only have I now learned the origin of “ahoy”, I have also learned this interesting little tidbit about the way we answer the phone:

“Alexander Graham Bell suggested “ahoy!” as the standard telephone greeting, but it didn’t catch on–for obvious reasons, you may think. Don’t be so sure. Brooklyn College professor Allen Koenigsberg, author of The Patent History of the Phonograph, argues that the word that did catch on, “hello,” was previously unknown and may have been invented by the man who proposed it, Thomas Edison.”

Well now, isn’t that interesting! [via Erik who is not only hip, he’s smart too!]
