Best of Wishes…

Best of wishes to GeekGrrl and her man A as they get married on Friday! Ahhh… a love brought together over the Internet, miles apart … and now it’s finally the big day! Congratulations to you!

Remember what I said … BREATH. In the end, when all is said and done, no one will worry about the little details as much as you might think – and the whole point of the day is to CELEBRATE your love for one another. I’ve seen too many brides ruin their own day worrying about the fact that a bridesmaid didn’t do her hair right or that her flowers were the wrong shade of pink when she should have focused on the party that was going on around her. Enjoy the moment, celebrate your future life together, and have fun! (Oh, and sorry to hear that your best man has the flu – glad you have an usher to fill in as backup!)

Down for the Count…

Fired up the laptop last night so I could check my e-mail and things like that. I was able to download my e-mail, but from there I wasn’t going anywhere. My WiFi card can’t see the network. Aaauuughhh! Reboot? Nope, that didn’t fix it either. Maybe if I kick the router and the cable modem? Nope. The laptop recognizes that the card is there – but it can’t see the router or the Internet at all. So I decided to buy a new wireless router, I did some research and found best wireless router reviews 2018 – buyer’s guide, they lay out all the pros and cons for me to pick the right one for my needs. Tested all sorts of things – and the router definitely works (the perk of having a guest with a wireless laptop that could test things for me.)

So, anyone know where I can buy a new card that’s reliable but inexpensive? I prefer to go to a store instead of ordering online – I don’t want to wait for shipping. Any brands out there that I should avoid? Any horror stories I should know about?

Pink and Blue, Blog Me, Blog You…

Manda wrote a fantastic post the other day about the perceived MT clique, but it was during my busy weekend and I forgot about it when I wrote the post last night. Is that it? Do non-MT users just see MT users as a clique?

Shelley wrote about the male/female ratio idea also, and she makes some really good points. She also gets a cookie for having TrackBack enabled and for pinging me.

So – what’s the boy to girl ratio of MT users out there? N/A/S/L … and Blog software? It’s the personal ads for the new era! Christine, female, Houston, MT…

Pink and Blue…

Remember my blog post last week about the debate with Mike about blog software? Well, Ciscley pointed out that it seems to be men that have the biggest issue with MT (once they convert, they love it – but it’s getting them to move to MT that is the challenge.) Not only did she post it in my comments, she took it a step further and wrote a longer post about the whole thing on her site. Now Jonathon has written a very interesting post pointing out that maybe MT is the Blogging software that can ultimately make both men & women happy.

Ironically, none of these MT users have TrackBack enabled, so they didn’t ping my post from last week to notify me of what they wrote, and I can’t ping them with this post in return. Pssst… enable TrackBack! Pinging is good fun!

A Day Late…

It’s a day late thanks to Naomi coming over to visit last night, but I had to point you all to Scriptygoddess to check out the cool new look! And she’s implemented some GREAT new features there too – when I find time I must add in the Hotlist functionality to my own site!
