About Last Night…

I ended up not watching the beginning of TAR last night, and I didn’t make my post about it yet either. We can blame all of this on Chris Pirillo. After my other post, I went and got my free Baskin Robbins ice cream cone, and then I stopped at the store. I got home just in time to call Chris. Had to make a personal “Call for Help”. Damn, that was lame. Anyways… I called Chris. And let me just say it – he ROCKS! It was like calling an old friend that I hadn’t talked to in a few weeks. Seriously. Maybe it’s because we have read each other’s blogs? Maybe it’s because I watch his show & he sounds just like he does on tv? Maybe it’s because … oh heck, who cares really? I had a blast. He was able to help me out with the stuff I needed – so I can help him out with the stuff he needs – and meanwhile we got to talk about all sorts of other things too! What a truly wonderful guy. I’m so jealous that Chey gets to meet him in person later this month. She will have a blast! Now I just have to find a way to get to GnomeDex. I must. I simply must.

A Little Bit of Meryl…

Ahhhhh… you know what feels really good? Having a little quality time with Meryl on IM. We’ve both been busy thanks to work lately and haven’t gotten to chat through The Amazing Race like we did last season. It’s one of those things that you don’t realize how much you miss it until it’s not happening. So we chatted tonight and I didn’t blog TAR like I have been – but I feel so good! I actually missed the first 15 minutes though of TAR, so I will blog it later when I watch the first part – and I’ll toss in our IM’d feedback along with it. Thanks Meryl! I really needed that Meryl fix!

Know what I realized while Meryl & I were on IM? We met because of comments. (We have since met in person since we roomed together at SXSW.) Same with Robyn – she left me a comment, I went to her site. Really the same with any blogger (or non-blogger) that I have met & become friends with – it was the little comments over time that became more, or maybe one of us left a comment and the other sent an e-mail back… something like that. And I’m *really* excited about all of the people who commented on my post from yesterday. I’ve found a TON of new blogs that are great! I love it! But I never know that you are out there unless you leave a comment. I promise, I don’t bite. And I definitely won’t think you are strange, silly, or anything else like that … unless you want me to! So – welcome to my blog! Please comment! (Should I make that my new tag line?)

Too Quiet…

Know what’s difficult about BlogOmania being on such a stable server now? No one has any support requests! There is no stress and panic over the sites being down. Matter of fact, things have been really calm. I like it. It’s the way hosting should be. (I’m almost afraid to post this, thinking I will jinx everything if I do!)
