Lately there is a lot more picture taking in my life then there are words. Especially today. Instead, I wanted to pass on the September 11th: Photoblog Your Life Project (as described on the site):

I’ve been thinking about September 11th. I’ve been thinking about the United States response – The Patriot Act. Invading Afganastan & Iraq. Death. Fear. Oppression.

It seems to me that this is NOT the America I want the world to know. So I propose a blogwide Photoblog your Life day on September 11th. Take your camera with you. Take pictures. Show the world your life. Show the world your daily delights. Show the world that we choose life, happiness and freedom.

On September 11th, I’ll be carrying my camera with me. I’ll snap pictures of my day – the good, the bad, the mundane. And I’m gonna post them here for the world to see. Let’s make September 11th a day of affirmation and life.

It’s July 1st! 26 Things – The International Photographic Scavenger Hunt is online! Time to start snapping!

The latest entry at Pixelog was taken with my mighty, small, wonderful Kiev 35A. I got mine from eBay, not the store I linked to, and it’s so fun to use! I originally wanted one because I read feedback that the results are supposed to be very “Lomo-like” – and I don’t have the funds for a Lomo, so Lomo-like is a good thing.

I’ve never seen Lomo pictures in person – I’ve only ever seen them online. My prints from this camera zoom and pop, so much more than the digital images on the CD made from the film. My co-workers were all stunned over the fantastic colors when I shared them at work.

Now I just need a Lomo so I can compare the two. Someday. For now, I’m enjoying this little camera gem! I am also really enjoying my new skins – I love being able to see the Pixelog photos here! And it should make it even easier for you to comment on them. An added bonus! I made this one my selected skin. Which one is yours?

First day since last Wednesday that I didn’t wake up with a headache. Mike is back in town, we went out with my parents and Jason for an absolutely delicious dinner at Taste of Texas. Filet … yummmmm… I drank Coke with my dinner, so maybe the caffeine helped. Or Mike’s return to Houston. Or the fact that the sky is a nice sunny blue today so the barometric pressure has probably changed. I don’t care why – I’m just happy my headache is finally gone!

It’s all about the Easy Credit… Thanks to Bob the Corgi for reminding me to look for the hidden treasures in this city.
