New Faces…

Updated Picture Yourself, and it always amazes me to see such a diverse global selection. Andrea in Spain, Jon-Erik at the Great Wall of China when they went to adopt their daughter, JM in Normandy, France, Lando in Italy, Elsatiph in Portugal, Connie in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Sirio in London, England – and that’s only within the 15 or so most recent photos on the site.

Filtering Things…

I am so thrilled! Thanks to a comment that Dawn left on her site for Ste, I’ve discovered that there is a Lens Adapter for the Canon G2, allowing you to use 49mm filters with the camera! I already have a 49mm Polarizing filter for my Minolta X-370 SLR, so I could use it on both cameras! Ah, someday…

It’s been a day full of movies – “Misery”, “Save the Last Dance”, “Down to Earth”, Deathtrap, and I think now I’ll watch “One Hour Photo” while I enjoy the perks of digital photography and add photographs to Pixelog. Maybe I’ll even try out some of the tricks for tweaking photos that Ste pointed out here – how to “fake” a lomo-like quality and how to cross-process your snapshots.

Flying High…

I just added a ton of new photos to Picture Yourself. Many of them are amazing and wonderful, but I think that this one has to be one of my favorites! You can check out Scott’s other kite aerial photography photos at his site – they are captivating!

Among the Butterflies…

I’ve finally posted the last of the pictures from our visit earlier this month to the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Pixelog. More butterflies, more wallpapers, and even some gems & minerals – this one is my favorite. Feel free to leave comments on the photos over there and let me know what you think!

Mike returns from London tomorrow – yeah! (actually later today, this afternoon, but “tomorrow” because I haven’t slept yet.) But we forgot to pick a place to meet when I go to pick him up at the airport. Don’t you hate it when you do that? Oh well – hopefully he’ll call my cell phone once he’s cleared customs. I’ll just go to our usual meeting point and wait for him in the meantime. It’s too late to call him now – it’s almost 9am there and he’ll be boarding his flight any minute now. Whee! Timezone mathmatics!
