I’ve decided to finally try listening to Podcasts. I tried before, as I drove to Austin for SxSW last year, but I just couldn’t get into them. I have problems with listening without something to look at – I can’t listen to sports, talk radio is hard for me to follow, and so forth. But I keep seeing mentions of the knitting podcasts, and well – I love anything that has to do with knitting these days! So I set up iTunes on the revamped laptop and Mike taught me how to subscribe to podcasts. Now I’m all set – I have subscriptions to KnitCast, Cast-On, Knitting News Cast and FiberCast. I can knit and listen and learn – all at once! Whee!

I just recently learned to knit and I am having a blast! Today I went to JoAnn Fabrics and spend a load on knitting needles of different sizes, spacers, and do-dads…and of course yarn!
My first projects are to knit dish clothes…they seem to be great practice pieces. Unfortunately, now my crochet project lies in the basket.
Hey, perfect place to mention my new blog (explaiKnit) to you, since it was featured on Knitting Newscast in episode 4. That was kind of a kick!
I’m new to both knitting and crochet. Actually started knitting scarves this past summer, some co-workers saw one and went gaga for it; long story short… I knitted 40 scarves between Nov. 4th and Dec. 23rd sold 33!!! It took me till Feb. to fill all the custom orders. Out of sheer bordem with the knitting thing I tried Crochet and now I’m kind of hooked. Thing is, I need new ideas for projects that aren’t too hard (I still have to have the pictures of what each stich looks like to do anything beyond dch) Any suggestions?
