Feeling all Lovie…

Jaywalker - Heel ShotIt is really hard to get a photo of your own heel, you know? I had to shoot “blind” to get one that I really liked. I continued the pattern on the Jaywalker down the heel instead of working the heel in the pattern. I almost always wear open-backed shoes of some sort, so this was the best option for me. (View it larger if you want.)

Every time I look at the Jaywalker, I start to sing, “Jaywalkin” to the tune of “Jive Talkin” by the Bee Gees. It just works.

Yarn: Trekking XXL, Color #109 (I think)
Pattern: The Jaywalker from Magknits
Finished: Knitting – February, 2006; Kitchnered the toe – March, 2006

In a few minutes, I’m heading out to meet up with Amy (aka Amylovie) to interview her for the next podcast about the opening of her new store, Yarntopia! I’m so excited! I think this is actually the first time I’ve met a knitblogger in person after reading their blog – all the other knitbloggers I know I met in person first. Whee!

Those look fantastic. Are you coming to Sit-n-Knit tonight? And thanks for mentioning Yarntopia — I’ve given some others the heads-up that it’s opening in a few weeks.

In less-great news, the “posts below the sidebar” thingy is back — but I think it’s being triggered by the post about the voicemail; that one does it when you look at the individual post, and other posts don’t.

Wow! That just really inspired me to knit up my jaywalker fast now! Re, I tried with the 76 stitches on 2.5 mm dpns (which would’ve given me a bigger gauge than your US0), and the zig-zag pattern on the leg wouldn’t even go over the ball of my foot. So, I’m trying it out with 84 stitches instead now….I tried with 94 before and it looked big and Julia told me that it’d be too big too…so I frogged it again last night to cast on with 84. It better work this time….coz I don’t think the yarn would take to another frogging.
