Festival Update, Again…

Sold!

The above mohair goat (aka angora goat, but that makes no sense since you get mohair fiber from them) was photographed when I visited Koenig Farms in the summer of 2005 during my trip to Kentucky. They were kind enough to share with us the goat to yarn experience, and I still have some of their fiber waiting for me to spin it up.

I considered printing and matting him for the show last weekend, but almost didn’t do it. It isn’t a perfect photo, but it is one I really like. I think it is those mohair curls that get me. So I took it after all, and it ended up being the very first print I sold. It was bought by the president of KANG (the Knit at Night Guild) for a Christmas gift. It makes me happy to know it is going to a knitterly home.

(You too can own one of these prints. Just let me know – it is available in either a 5×7 or 8×10, with or without mat.)

Elaine took photos of our booth on Saturday, and this one is my favorite. It seems to capture the magical glow that our booth had, doesn’t it? We will be back on the first Saturday in January, so mark your calendar and come on out and see us!
