Finding The Perfect Gift…

Ok, I have to confess that sometimes, I really struggle to come up with the perfect gift. I am always overwhelmed by too much “stuff” and most of the time I would rather let someone just buy exactly what they want instead of coming up with something for them that they don’t really need.

I don’t mind receiving gift cards, but I don’t like giving them. I don’t mind using wishlists, but sometimes I like to surprise someone with the perfect gift they never even thought to wish for. Going off the grid is fun. This yeat I actually found something that is worth giving, these custom blacksmith knives are perfect for surprising anybody who loves collecting knifes.

And then there is the fact that Mike has been known to buy *exactly* what I plan on buying for him just weeks before a gift giving occasion, or he bursts my bubble and ruins my perfectly planned surprise by telling me that he has come up with the perfect idea — which was exactly what I had planned for weeks or even months to get him. Yes, this has happened several times. This year, he is banned from even suggesting gifts to me. This is his public notice.

So back to my original point … finding the perfect gift. It isn’t easy. But this morning, I found the Gifts.com Gift Finder and after playing with it a bit, I think it might make my gift giving this year a little bit easier. Hopefully it will help you out too.

My husband is a PRO at guessing what his gifts are. I seriously don’t know how he does it. It’s serious WORK trying to keep things a secret from him! Plus, he’s the type to always go out and buy whatever he wants/needs. Or if I try to buy him something gadgety/electronic, I always seem to buy the wrong thing. *sigh*
