Finish It Friday!

Remember how I said I finished the baby blanket and the Clapotis last weekend? Well, that isn’t completely true. I have yet to weave in a single end of yarn, and on the Clapotis there are still some rows where the stitches haven’t been dropped all the way to the end.

The truth is, I hate doing the “finishing” work.

So Katy Blogless and I are getting together today for Finish it Friday, and I wanted to invite everyone else to join along. Get out those projects that aren’t quite all the way there – the sweaters without sleeves attached, the blankets without the ends woven in, whatever it may be, and get it finished!

Come back when you are done and tell us about it! (She reads the blog too.) Post photos on your site and share the link. And if anyone has time to finish a button for it for us, I would really appreciate it!

I have a doozy waiting to be finished. I finished knitting the Lace Leaf pullover ages ago and I have yet to finish grafting the top to the bottom. I’m halfway through, but I don’t even want to look at it. Maybe I’ll try and finish it for next Friday. Good idea!

Too bad I forgot we were “finishing” today! But Mexican for lunch and retail therapy at Target were fun too. And we looked at patterns when we got back to my house. That’s almost as good as actually knitting, right?

This is a great idea! I didn’t finish anything this Friday, but I did finish something today (Sunday). I’ll have to start dubbing more Fridays as “Finish it Friday”.

I love your blog! Thanks for the comment on ours. I’m actually getting ready to cast on a skein of Hillcountry yarn and it’s good to know that the problem someone had when dealing with the owner was an exception, not a rule…because I think I’m going to love working with it.

This is so funny! I know it is not Friday but I just read this today. I don’t have any unfinished knitting projects, but I bought a bunch of stuff a few weeks ago to do tie dye onsies and baby shirts and was afraid that I’d never get around to doing them. So last night I said “That’s it!” and had my own Finish it Sunday. Though, they still need to be rinsed, washed and dried b/c you have to let them sit for 24 hrs. But I’m anxious to see how they come out so I will definitely do that tonight.
