Since I know at least two of my friends are pregnant with boys, and there are other friends that have young boys, I think I need to master the Devan sweater, which just might be one of my favorite patterns for little boys. Or girls for that matter, because who says that boys should have all the fun?

Wish I enjoyed knitting but I don’t. I like instant gratification so i make jewlery which is planned, made and done within a few hours…lol
It is adorable. Google it! You may find a few bloggers who knit it (and then swore never to knit another sweater using sock yarn). It’d take foreva! Cute though, cute!
I saw that sweater on Knitty and I love it too! I bookmarked the page, though I don’t know when I’d get around to trying to make it. So far, I have my hands full (no pun intended) with figuring out how to crochet.
Heck, Christine, you should be able to handle this already. The stripe pattern comes from self-patterning sock yarn. You just have to make sure you’re knitting at the correct gauge (otherwise the pattern spreads out or scrunches up) and start each piece at the same point on the ball. Piece of cake, really.
Very cute! I think everyone I know right now is expecting – even my hairdresser! So maybe these would be good alternatives to the baby afghans I have been doing. Hmm…I may have to take the google suggestion above and see what people had to say. 😉
